I contacted him and offered to trade my car + $9k in cash and he said no. He then told me that he's had offers outside of eBay as high as $23K that he's declined. meh...

Yes, it's a 03 Cobra but to me it looks weird. Side skirts, hood, those stripy thingies over the side scoop?

Can people just do everything to a 03/04 Cobra and still catch top dollar for it? Seems weird.

If I did end up getting it, all that "weird" shit would come off immediately.

not sure i buy the whole never been raced thing after how it's built and those wheels but who knows, could just be a huge poser. I don't really care for the visual mods done to it but those should be easy to fix assuming nothing under them is messed up.

Get the house. You can get a project later

I've got the house already. We've been here for 5 years now... it's a matter of taking my money and dropping it on the principle to pay the mortgage off faster, or putting it towards the car.

Yeah, I'm probably going to pass. When I offered him my car plus $9k and he refused, I knew at that point, he's expecting and arm and a leg for it. I'd rather stick to my plan of getting a cobra roller and building it anyway.

Lol @ the SRA 33 spline rear swap and never been raced.

But minus the ricey parts on the outside, it looks like a very clean car.

Pay the house off first. Just think what you can get after the house is payed off. No house payment = a bad ass car later

Very true. I'm on a 30 year mortgage and I'm currently 5 years into it. If I took the 23K and dropped it completely on the principle of the house, it would knock 17 years off the loan instantly, leaving only 8 years left... given that I only made the minimum payment from that point forward.
