Does that sound go away when you step on the clutch?

nope. when i see a stop light i automatically push in the clutch and put her in neutral and just cruise and slow down to the stop light. then i put it back in first when i stop and i hold the clutch the whole time. as soon as i stop it will tick like it did in the video then after a few seconds it will go away. now it does it when im moving too. seems like the problem is progressing.

Re: throw out bearing

Do you feel any feedback in the pedal? It only does it with the clutch depressed?

Re: throw out bearing

no, but when i had that run in with the viper i pushed the stang kinda hard and took it to around 5000 rpms and now the clutch petal has to be about 3/4 of the way out before it engages. it used to engage as soon as the clutch petal left the floor. and ive tried just to go to a stoplight without the clutch in and yes, the noise still occurs. and also when im going and i shift it will squeek when i push in the clutch to shift. it normally has to be around 2700-3000 rpms for it to do this.

Re: throw out bearing

i've never heard a clutch sound like that.

and i've had a throw out bearing explode before. (91 jetta)
i'd take that thing to a dealer or a well trusted shop.

also pulling the trans can be done in a weekend on jackstands but you will need some help reinstalling it. they can get pretty heavy when your on your back lifting it.

Re: throw out bearing

Go to your local go fast parts store and order a king cobra clutch kit. It should come with a throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and alignment tool. It should cost you about $200.00 or so.

Re: throw out bearing

If you order that clutch kit you have linked you don't need the throwout bearing, it comes with it.
