Been looking on ebay for a used intake to replace my stock intake.I have 94 what intake would work.I keep seeing gt 40 off of explorers how good are they

yes it will fit under the stock hood. The Cobra intakes are a better option IMO b/c they are not butt ass ugly as sin as the GT40 intakes unless you get a REAL GT40 and get the tublar but those are more expensive. The GT40's are also called expoloer intakes b/c they came off the ford Explorer.

The FMS cobra intakes look nice, but be careful, they are made in CHINA, and the casting/material is horrid.

They used to NOT be made in china but now are. You can still find the original intakes but I dont know what the part # is

I wouldn't say explorer intakes are ugly. In fact I think they look better then the tubular and the cobra intakes.

I got a 95 Cobra intake. I painted it black and polished the top. Then I had a friend mildly port and polish it. It pulls all the way to 6000 rpm now.

dont u need an elbow adapter?

If you get one for a 94/95 you dont it has the bend built into it. If you get one for an 89-93 then you need the adaptor.

I like my black GT-40 intake the best....

Too bad I swapped it out, but I'm not complaining......
