So my main reason for doing this is the valve stem seals need to be changed, well that's where it begins. My goal is to to upgrade home brew style. Lol. First I came across a svo intake on eBay so I scooped it up. Then I have a complete npi motor just laying around so I pulled the heads and started work, beginning with a port match of the manifold and heads. Next a friend of mine is gonna hook me up with some pi cams for cheap cheap. After that the valves will get lapped and valve stem seals will get changed out. I'll be sending the heads to clean up the mating surface. Then the install will be done with a tune from mod mafia in ms.

Test fit.

can the SVO be taken apart? you may get some more power out of it if you port the plenum. you may be able to get more airflow on any sharp radius angles.. i done this on my RR intake and seen some power.

Yes you can but the inside has no sharp angles. That would be a lot of work for a mere 1hp. If I was using big cams and higher compression I would do it but for stock pi cams I'm just gonna port match.

The build looks killer. You dont see many of the svo intake manifolds laying around anymore.

Using npi heads will keep you in a Safe C/R for Boost :)

Exactly the future plan is to get a vortech kit later down the road.

Hell yeah, as if i didn't know the future.

Make sure to have a build thread in our buildup section so we can keep up with you as you conspire! You can also pm me if you ever feel stuck with your build.

Hotwheels04 the differences between the two are mostly the heads they belong on. Svo is npi heads and bullit is pi heads. I believe ford got a lot of data for the pi head from the svo setup and made the changes to the assembly line parts. Svo parts from what I understand was a add on feature after the sale of the vehicle like a trd supercharger or trd upgrades.

Willis_98gt no problem when I get closer to the build ill make a thread of the whole car, I have alittle work done to it so far. The original goal for the car was to road race/drift but I don't have the time or the money to compete so it turned into a hot rod.
