you dont need a puller because if you remove the 4 bolts that hold the pulley to the pump it will just come off.

What? My 00 and 97 pump are both pressed on. You need a puller to apply pressure on the shaft and then the pulley will come free.

My 96 pulley was bolted on to teh face of the pump. Just took a little to "massage" it off.

What are you trying to do. I ended breaking the waterpump itself trying to remove it for the pi swap. Ended up buying a new one lol.

Are you doing the pi swap. If so the waterpump nipple is going to be the pain of this whole install.. after that will be bolting the back bolts to the back of the block.

I figured out the easy way after I messed up the water pump nipple. I got an old wood chisel, and used it to cut off the bad part then just pulled it out with pliers. The water pump on the other hand was no fun, but I did get a new screwdriver out of the deal.

When I did my first swap I never touched the nipple I just used some rubber hosing and hose clamps, cut some of the pi metal hose off and voila, it worked and never had a leak.
