Well, I rear ended someone(crappy ice!) and need a new hood/front bumper. Im using this as an excuse to get a nice hood and bumper, but I am could between 2 choices. It's either A) Buy a 1995 Cobra R hood with a Cobra front bumper or B) Buy a shaker system for a 96-98, custom make the brackets, then buy a stock front bumper and put a chin spoiler on it with all the Mach 1 decals. What do you guys think will look good on my car(here is the damage) :crybaby2:
PS: Sorry for bad quality, taken in the morning with cellphone.

That sucks, make sure when you replace the bumper that you replace the styrofoam behind it as well, if that is even the slightest bit outta whack your bumper wont fit right and be off balance.

Sorry to hear! Make sure when you put the R hood you double check the latch on the hood locks in right. Had a friend put one on and it opened up on him getting onto the highway gave us a scare (no damage tho) he went ahead and just put on those racing pins looks pretty good with the pins! FYI

Well, the cow reported it, $200 accident sur-charge FTL! Anyways I have to pay a $700 deductible BUT the dealership will(its a ford one) will put on OEM cobra parts for cheaper than I can buy them from 50resto. I'll have all the details later this week hopefully...

As far as the hood goes I've always been a big fan of a good ford steel hood rather then some cheap POS fiberglass knockoff. My Cobra R hood cost me more buying a true Ford one, but the quality difference was worth it to me.

The stock Ford hoods are fiberglass... The important part is that the hood has a steel latch.

I'd suggest the Cobra bumper and either the R hood or the Saleen heat extractor hood, my two personal favorites.

Well an update. We phoned SGI(Insurance people) and said what happened. Well apparently the women driving the truck was PISSED, but not at me. She was mad at the safety patrollers throwing their sign out of now where, causing both of us to slam on our brakes. Anywho, $225 accident sur-charge, $700 deductible, and the extra(will go to Ford dealer tomorrow) for the Cobra parts. Probably $1200-$1500 in total methinks...

More updates, went to dealership and asked around. Bad news and good news. Bad news, they dont make factory parts for a 1994 cobra, but they are getting Aftermarket ones for WAY less than 50resto. Anyways its going to be roughly ~$400ish for the extra parts/labour, depending what my claim covers. I can go on a plan to take a year to pay off the deductible, so I will be taking the car in next week and pay it all off at the end of this month/beginning of January. Afterwords, comes the gears I got a few months back(3.73s) and then some 03 Cobra seats/console/mach 1 radio bezel.
