went to the dyno today

so we took my friends 02 gt to the dyno today , and it made 264rwhp and 288tq

mods: lont tube headers , x pipe with flowmaster , 3:73, udp, cai, trickflow intake and 75 tb

Those are some pretty good numbers. Was it on a dynojet?

yeah those are very good numbers considering he only had a few bolt ons. but im not doubting you, my car makes better numbers than anyone can believe.

yeah its a dynojet , i havent take my car to the dyno yet , but i raced him 4 times from 2 gear and pput 3 cars on him by the end of 4 gear

3 cars? Something doesnt seem right if hes putting down 264. From your mods, you have stock PI h/c/i correct? That would put you at roughly 240ish rwhp. then you have 4.10s also which would help. I can see a really good race with you and him fairly even but 3 cars? Am i missing something? Not doubting you, it just doesnt seem right to me.

No I agree with you! 4:10's would def be a little better gear, but the other guy had 3:73's and more h.p. I'm gonna have to say somebody must not can drive all that well!

Even with just the pi stuff, x pipe, and udp, you would probably be making comparable power.

Then you got 4.10s with a 6 speed right?

Makes sense to me.

What i'm wondering is why is he making that much power from just long tubes, mid pipe, and catback, and a couple others... the npi with pi swapped stuff has a longer list... i just don't know why it would only be making 240 ish.... i just dont' understand why these pi cars are making more power than the npi with the pi stuff swapped on??? Don't get it.

pi gt should make roughly 230 whp...so hes gained 30-35 whp with his mods

Long tubes are worth a lot...probably 10-20 whp.
x pipe 5-10 whp
tb,plenum 5-10 whp

With the tune It makes perfect sense that he gained about 35 whp with those bolt ons.

a npi swapped to pi will make 10-15 whp more than pi cause the compression...so 240-245 whp...then some more with the ud and exhaust.

Pi swapped npi's with a lot of bolt ons and long tubes have made 270-280 whp

cool b/c i'm wanting to do this with some cams and lt's so hopefully it will be up there with a tune... then a nice little 125 wet shot to even it out lol.
