Ive got a 95 gt vert. I havent had time to see what gears are in the car. The car is about 10 mph off on the speedo. Its all stock minus a few bolt ons and exhaust. Any idea? 3:55 maybe?

10mph is irrelevant, it's all percentage based so that the faster you go, the larger the magnitude of the difference. It also depends on what gears you previously had since that determines what speedometer gear is in your transmission. The easiest way to do it is to lift the car up and spin the driveshaft by hand. The amount of rotations of the driveshaft per one rotation of the tire is the ratio(ie 3.55:1, 3.73:1 etc) of your gears. Hope this helps.

I tried it that way at first and couldnt tell exactly if they were 3.55 or 3.73 since the difference was so minor. I turned the wheel 10 times and it was very clear. Driveshaft spun 37 times=3.73, 35 times=3.55, 41=4.10 etc.

Yeah it pissed me off after trying twice and not really being able to tell being cramped up under the car. So I said f it after the second time and had the wifey spin the wheel 9 more times. lol

Remember BOTH tires have to spin together for this to work. It will not be accurate if your diff is worn out or you have a 6er and an open diff.

Spinning it once is all you need. It is easy to tell 3.55 from 3.73. 3.55 goes 3 1/2 times around and 3.73s go 3 3/4 times around. Big difference, same as 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock.
