I've got 1.25" on my 17x9 with 275/40sthat is a little too much, so 1" should be perfect IMO. If you take a yardstick flush with your tires, you can then measure the gap between your outer fender and the stick for a perfect measurement. That's the method I used for my stock rims and they turned out perfectly flush. Hope I explained it well enough so you get the point.

I got one 1" with stock 245 tyres and there's still a little bit of clearance.

I had 1 inch spacers from H&R (bolt on ones). Did not like the way the car looked with 275s on it.

The wheels sat like they do infront, which is just almost outside of the fender.

The car did not rub anywhere. I just did not like the look. I bought the spacers in the first place to use them with my GT wheels. I could not mount them on the the car with GT wheels, because the axle studs were too long, and the 17x8 wheel would not sit flush. 17x9 Cobra R's sat flush, but I just did not like the way it looked. It all came down to personal prefference.

this is the look i want for the rear. i think he has 10.5" wheels, but if i put a 1" spacer with my 9" wheels will i get this look, or will they not stick out quite this far? how did yours compare with this?

lol. i wasnt paying attention, i looked at your posts and it said 67 (at the time), thought it was age lol

i've always like the pop out wheels style on the rear, but not the front. i'm going to buy some used spacers so if i dont like them i can always get different ones

ROFL. This guy is alright

Something else to take into consideration is added weight in rotating inercia. I don't know which spacers are you planning on using, but the H&Rs which I had, were 4 pounds a piece. It will make the car slower (probably not by a lot) and decrease your gas efficiency as well (probably not by much as well, but if you drive a lot like I do *ahem 26k a year* you will feel it). If this is strictly for the looks mod, I'd think about it twice.

yeah i have been thinking about if for awhile

the ones i have been considering are the cheap 1" hub centric ebay ones that range from $50 - $70 a pair. this is only going to be a quick fix until i have the money to get my 17x10.5's or 18x10s. i just hate how the wheel is so far into the wheel well.

thats why i want ot buy some cheap, even used ones, so i can just use them when i need them, then resell them when i get my rims. this why i shouldnt lose any $

yeah, go with a 3/4 or 1 inch spacer. I just swaped in a 2004 8.8. rear end. With no spacers, They are at least 1 1/2 inches wider. So my 17x9's fit nice. without any spacers.
