im going to buy one or two things for my car a month. what should i get first?
1. full length subframe connectors and a roll bar with door bars from MM
2. rear lower controll arms and springs full bushing set http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=4.18109&PARTNER=gbase
3. heads and cam
4. mgw short shifter
5. spray

i've been thinking about the m112 swap too but its spendy. paint is on my list as well but i may end up going matte black and tinting the windows. body mods are last on my list tho. i like the fact that i can smoke all the rice around here in what they seem to think is a barbie car.

i want the added strength of the roll bar, plus going fast with not much more then 2 sheets of cloth over your dome is kinda sketchy. i paired the roll bar and subframes cause they need similar stuff to install. (removing interior and welding)

det_riot i hear you on getting it to hook, i can already spin em into 3rd on 275's with only the mods in my sig.

ahhh so much to think about now that i have money rolling in again.

I would add the full length subframes and rear lower. When you actually go to the track and run faster then a 13.49. That's the only time there going to require it. I can understand wanting to be safer and all. I don't think it's very much of a accomplishment spinning it in 3rd so i would suggest all the suspension components before the roll bar. I mean with my 3.08 rear gear on a good tire i could spin through 1st and 2nd. Once i added the full length subframes and put the d/r's and 3.73 it wouldn't spin but just a hare off the line. I could roll them over shifting.

Basically after my little paragraph add the full length subframes, rear lowers and some proper springs and shocks and you will be able to hook a lot better.

oh also i will be putting a 351w roller in the vert at some point this summer/fall. the day that motor is ready on the stand i will put at least a 250 shot of juice on the stock 302 and see what i can make her run, or if i can get it to become bulimic.

Well if you're going to be 351w swapping it there's no need to do the heads and intake and waste your money on that.

what i plan to do is get a lightning lower intake and run my cobra upper. i want a mild 351w with some spray for track days. nothing crazy, but i want it to be a little differnet then most the stangs around. its just a plan at this point things can change like if i find a set of afr's on the cheap or whatever.

my motor runs plenty strong right now and i already have bad traction problems so i will do supporting suspension mods first.

if it runs strong, sell it not trash it. buy another bottle worth of spray for the 351 with the money or even a better intake.

I always build mustangs back to front.

Ive always tried to stick to the same thing, although ive never installed sub frames on either of my 5 mustangs, People tell me im nuts for not making that the first thing i do so i might have to give them a try on the new car.

Hey man , if u have any info on the swap plz pass it on as im starting mine in 2 weeks lol , id vote sub frame's control arms aswell , also for your swap check out AJE k members , the added weight of the 351 is reason enough to want to shed a few pounds off the front , but they make theres so u can simply change motor mounts to fit eather motor...
If you deside to go with heads shoot me a pm , im letting go of my AFR 185's , im goin to need 205's atleast for my 418

ok guys, my vert is extra loose seeing how my stock gt strut tower brace wont fit over the cobra intake. im pretty tired of a sloppy feeling car. due to recent events i have to find a new place to call home. but all is well being that im working more then full time these days.

i think my first buy will be sub frames rear lowers and springs. i'll wait till the next payday to get matching shocks/struts and cc plates.

I have 3.73's already, and with the minor mods done to my motor i was able to make my 3800lb vert run a 14.1 on wore out 255 street tires. I will update everyone once my order is placed.
