Only difference might be that you won't see the back end of civics that much anymore.
your actually quite wrong gears ( ring gears and pinions ) arent make and model specific . I used to run 4:11 richmond gear in my 72 fastback 9' rearend . heres some food for thought and whoever told you that gears are make specific is a complete idiot lol .. http://www.summitracing.com/search/...and-pinion-gears/ring-and-pinion-ratio/4-11-1 theres a set for a 9' yeah and for the naysayers that will say we need 8.8 here lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Racing...pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item53fe845acd&vxp=mtr nuff said lolGears are the great equalizer for these cars that is true but 4.11s are Chebby gears... eewww... You want 4.10s lol. Or 3.73s. The ricers never believe that a low-mid 200whp car can do a 12-13 second 1/4 mile because their shitboxes are making near the same numbers and barely doing a 15 lol.
well rich if you would have viewed my post i posted a link there and it shows you a set of 4:11 gears for the 8.8 ford rear end so yes it does .
I understand what your saying but the question was not if their typical , someone plainly said that they are Chevy gears basically saying here arent available for Ford and I was showing that they are indeed available and I personally have seen more people go with the 4:11 rather than the 4:10 . Im not trying to argue with anyone just so everyone knows just making sure there isnt someone being misinformed . thanksit is not a typical "Ford" gear for the 8.8.....Typical ones are 2.73, 3.08, 3.27, 3.31, 3.55, 3.73, 4.10, 4.30, 4.55/4.56, and I believe 5.30s....I have also seen 3.88's in an 8.8 but it is not that common of a gear used in a Mustang.

I guess what you know of and what I know of are very different I can think of about 15 people down South here running a 4:11 gear in a mustang honestly. both are very good gears but thats not my point my point is you can get the 4:11 for the 8.8 which i proved ..I honestly don't know of anyone running a 4.11 in their Mustang.....4.10 being the normal gear.
