are ya going to add a temp sensor to the top of the gas tank? :) I shudder a little bit every time I think about that being that hot right on top of the tank and I know you do also.

Tank is in the car! Pressure tested and leak checked.

Crappy pictures.

Oh. When priming your fuel system to leak check after performing maintenance or upgrades, plug the damn harness connectors in.

Peaked through my old, dyno tune settings and took some screen shots of the stock cam settings.

Then, compared them to the updated settings my new tuner provided me with.

Decided to move forward with my new gauge panel. Ordered a double din dash kit off of eBay instead of spending double on an 00-04 radio bezel.

IMG_5886.jpeg

Started by tracing the double din opening onto paper and then cutting it out to fit the bezel.

IMG_5887.jpeg

IMG_5888.jpeg

Played with a few different layouts before settling on this one.

IMG_5892.jpeg

Cut the panel out with my dremel tool and used 2” hole saw for the gauges. Cleaned the edges up with the dremel and it was a snug fit. Very snug.

IMG_5893.jpeg

Going to secure it on each corner with a 10/32 machine screw.

All that is left is to add the knob for the EPS and it’s done!

Now we may be getting somewhere. Tuner has verified the cams are responding to the commands he's giving it and now we're on to cleaning up the fueling. There is a plethora of "wrong" to sort through.

Starts better. High idle begins to decay to base idle and then it dies. :p Had to pedal it to stay running long enough to get out of the driveway and at stop signs.

Feels better, though. Wet out but didn’t too much WOT but ran it up to high RPMs with low load a few times. Tried to get to 70% TPS and it started to choke out some.

Sent in logs and my global file for review. Progress made but still work to do.

Differences I’ve noted from the previous tune to this latest revision:

1) He’s tuning via Speed Density instead of VE

IMG_6136.jpeg

2) He made a big change to the E85 fuel flow modifier table:

IMG_6129.jpeg

3) He made changes to cranking fueling:

IMG_6132.jpeg

4) Also to after start enrichment:

IMG_6133.jpeg

5) He changed the AFR targets:

6) He reduced the total command timing and added a timing offset based on ethanol content:

Still ironing out the kinks in the tune but she’s feeling better. Wired the gauge panel up today.

Accidentally recorded a video while out on a datalog cruise and decided to upload it.
