Nah im cool, its not a drag car. Im goin for more of a roadracer/handling car... plus I drive the car everyday. I also plan on turbo within the next 2 years though. So I might have to take it back down a notch.

1. you're not turbo.
2. two years is two years.
3. gears do not affect your handling.

I dont want 4:10s. End of story thanks sir. I'll be cool with my 3:73s, its not a npi 4.6 for cryin out loud.

Yeah but like 95pgttech said, its gonna be awhile so for now the 3:73s are gonna be in.

2 things, 1 comment, and 1 question.

NPI vs 94/95 stock vs stock is DEAD even, maybe a little advantage to the NPI car from what i've seen.

what gears does your buddy have??? i've seen it many times, stock gears come around steep gears. say you are just hitting 3rd gear about a car lenght ahead and he's 3/4 way through 2nd, you will be looking at his bumper by time you hit 4th.

take it to the track and see who gets to the finish line first.

We both have 3:08s. and his 315s didnt do anything for him, we were already movin when he caught me... in fact I took off like a bat outta hell, on his honk.. left him in the dust. his car is just in better shape than mine right now. I've got a guy who can put in gears so hopefully, I have new ones in there soon.

I was saying that, because I know 4.6 need more gear, because they arent as torquey...

if you jumped him that good off the line and he reeled you in that badly then your car is simply not as powerful.

try a roll race where driving doesnt play a role and if he pulls you hard then you know its just the car.

a 1995 mustang gt is rated at 215/285.
a 1996 mustang gt is rated at 215/290.

you read too much on the internet.
the guys at the front of our class swap their 4V's for LS's or 2V's for the torque they make.


you raced a hurt, stock car against a mild bolt on car of the same type. if this was a run at a track, we'd have quantifiable data that could help us diagnose the issue - 60', 330', ET + mph. but we don't, because you're a high school kid street racing on someone's beep or arm drop. we'll be able to diagnose what's wrong with your car when your ghetto'd up modifications fail on you and your car is in a ditch, upside down, on fire.

if you can't see the running string of bad decisions, you're beyond help
