:eek:ccasion14: I was pissed at first when i took off my rim after i heard air sissing out. Now im kind of happy that my front Cobra R is cracked and kind of bent.

Why? I hate these rims with a passion. I already brought one new rim and it feels like i wasted money because they look like ass from every perspective.

So, i wanted to buy some black chrome 18 inch 03 Cobra Rims like a member here has, but the price is out of my range. I want chrome, but than again every winter the salt corrorodes the chrome and i have sealing problems.

So 18 inch Saleens here i come :headbang: But here is the problem. I want regular 245's up front, but i want something wider than my current 275's out rear. Does that mean:

(2) 18x9 for front
(2) 18x10 for rear? Im thinking either 295 or 315's for the rear.

i would do 2 18x9 up front with 265s and 2 18x10 out back with 315s or 295s if you dont want to worry about possible quadshock/exhaust clearance problems.

+1

If i were to have a 18" rim i would run a 265/35 front and a 295 or a 315 and flip the quad running it out back.

But you also have to think do you want to use the Faleens during the winter. I am keeping my Old Tri bars for this reason when we move to Norfolk Va here in a few weeks. So if i have to run my car in the winter i can have those on there. I hope by the time winter comes around i should have the Old truck up and running by then.

Oh you guys are right. I forget i wanted 18's instead of 17 which used 245's with no problems =]. I guess 295 would be coool to avoid the quad problems

Buy used rims...and get used tires off ebay. I got a pair of 275/35/18 michelin pilot sports for 160shipped a couple years ago.

Just take your time and look for deals...

$450 for CW's saleens...160 for front tires, and 250 for rears...thats only $860 for a sick setup...

Cobras SUCK...stop wasting ur money on them.

I agree there are always deals out there. I picked up a near mint set of 01 Cobra's for 190 then got new tires for 320 and they another 80 to have them put on. 590 and it made a huge difference and looks good but will look even better once i get my New springs i bought on.

You guys are right. Im going to buy two rims for $266 shipped from AM. Till i save up some more money for the deep dish backs. I could buy all 4 but than ill be without tires and broke. So im going to buy everything separate without breaking myself @ the start of every paycheck. Also, AM is out of stock for the 18x10 deep dish rears, so that gives me some time to save up. Ill order the two front wheels this tuesday :police:

Question:
1. Why does american muscle say 285 is the best fitment for the 18x10 FR500's? Will 295's have that nasty sidewall budge (too much sidewall) ?

2. These rims are Anthracite finish correct? If i was to run them in the winter. The salt wouldn't corrode them like they did my chrome cobra r's seal?

Gregs car looks so sicc with these rims. The red really makes the wheels pop without having too much chrome that brings attention in my hood.
$600 for all 4 rims
