Well, hit the 13's again with the MT's out back, still god awful slow. But I did get these in!

Updates!

Pictures soon.

I have collected an 04 Cobra eaton, throttlebody, plenum, 7 injectors (I can't find the ********* 8th one).., and intercooler resevoir. A lot of these parts were from my 04 Cobra that I found laying around upstairs. Now if I could find the STOCK injectors (these are the 60 pounders I traded up for the 93's in the 04.) Pricing tork-tech manifolds now. Changed plans after riding in turbo car, I want the instant punch my 04 Cobra has.

Thinking of a 5.0 aluminator short block, and maybe another 3.4 compressor down the road. The built auto, and even stock eaton combo, should be good for some nice 11's at this cars low weight.

So, I have neglected my thread.

Too much lurking through the other projects on the board.

A lot has been done, some highlights..

As always, obligatory shot of the Cobra. It is at HPP Racing for new clutch springs (quieter), an oil leak at the timing cover, and some crazy transmission whine. While it's there, going to tune it for high boost.

here was the dyno on low boost:

Now to the GT!

Cleaned up the trunk.

made this junk from old computer parts and sound equipment to prevent boredom in the garage.

Then began serious preparations for the Eaton install. The rest of these pictures are pretty self explanatory.

Look ma, no wires. Video of first start.

Still cleaning up the install.

Question for you guys, I ordered an EGR delete, and I want to get rid of the PCV system. It's fugly. Where can I find the best valve cover breathers to fit the awkward opening on the driver's side?

And, I am thinking of high temp caliper paint for the valve covers in Silver. Yes or no?

Just looked at my post. The iPhone really makes my cars look like shit! I promise, they are much cleaner in person. :\

Just had to gloat a little bit. Got that freaking EGR tube off of the manifold.. Only injured 4 or 5 fingers in the process. Talk about stuck tight.

dude, nice build!
those wheels, spaced out look sweet/clean on your ride.
I like your interior mods and gauge pod.

The eaton will be your favorite mod I think :)

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

I finally updated the blog (took forever), and organized it by projects. Added a butt-load of posts if anyone is interested. http://www.foofinator.com/updates

And here are the pictures from tonight's beginning clean up of wiring. There is nothing more janky IMO than shotty wiring.

Had to re-install the tach adapter, took the opportunity to clean up the kit in the fender.

IMG_0621.jpg

Beginning to wrap up the harness I made to switch to the COP's

Cool shot of the kit..

This will be staying on. The plan is for a steg stage 6 port (I had a stage 4 on the Cobra before the whipple), with a 150 shot. I still need to find the funds for the shortblock. The heads are fully ported, the transmission is built, and the blower is already here!

Looks a lot sloppier than it really is. All of it is tucked up against the inside of the fender and hidden!

I have a quick question.. I was wondering what made you choose that brand of N02 gauge when auto meter has the no2 in the same style as your volt... and would seem like you could see it better from down there.. I just like mine to match... I have the same style gauges in mine.. and got the new progamable ones though.. with no2 too.. also was it to hide having gauges that you put them down there.. I know it is best to have gauges in the line of site.. but then it looks like a race car at times... but they make pods where it will be not to visible but you can see.. like colum and custer pods.. Just wondering... you have a sexy stang...... Its soooo clean and smiple....

Thanks man.

As far as the gauges go, I am switching all of them over to the dynotune digitals. The voltmeter was installed in an act of desperation when I was having the charging system problems.

The new gauges to replace the voltmeter (and also a fuel pressure), have just not achieved priority in the budget yet, but eventually they will be there.

As far as location goes, I don't remember why I stuck them there to be honest hahaha.

Alright..

Parts on the way:

IC lines (04 Cobra)
Timing Cover (Single Bolt) to fit the tork tech manifold..
Blower is at the machine shop making the necessary modifications..

Also got a JLT ram air used on svtp. It was beat to shit but I spent a day cleaning it up and respraying it. I'll post a pic later.

Waiting on pricing on the actual manifold (finally got the cash from selling parts I had laying around and no use for!).. These guys are making it tough to take my 2,000 bucks though. Ridiculous.

And! The Cobra transmission is fixed. Waiting on a couple things and my 04 Cobra will finally be back home. Hope the shop did not scratch it up too bad!

I also have a 99 Suburban that I use as a tow vehicle that is in the shop for a belt squeak that I could not figure out after tons of time and money.. I am saying this because it's funny, I have 4 cars.. Only one is working right now haha.
