i was going to get "2.8L" badges for my fenders... oh yea. lol.

how about "3.4L" whipple has one .....thats a mammoth

Again, what's the point of making more power than 93 octane can support?
Are you really going to buy a 55 gallon drum of VP103 and fill up once a week?

im sure its possible to run it on pump gas .....you see these tt's and compound boost setups runnin on pump gas nothing spectacular numbers wise but still ......

you will never reach it full potential anways on pump gas ....he (mustangchris) just wants a big nut sack to throw in everyones face (who doesnt hahaha) bigger doesnt always mean better though (<-----that just what small ppl say)

most of these big boost setups are running very low static compression, a giant boost number, and zero timing. you can make 1000rwhp on 93 if you want to run 3 degrees of timing, but the car's going to feel like shit until it hits ten pounds and then it's going to rip the steering wheel out of your hand with violent power.

mustangchris - less fuel means more compression chamber heat, means more likely to detonate. which is why when you want to lean it out you need the octane protection of the 100 octane. on the upside, it also means far more likely that every fuel molecule injected gets burned = more power, less waste. when you're running 93 octane, however, it's better to aire on the side of caution and be a little richer than max power just to cover your rear.

I'm going to run a Snow Methanol kit as my air cooler and the extra octane it provides will help with the detonation devil. Might be something to look into if your gonna go with that big boost setup.

I'm going to talk it over with the guy building my heads. Im going to see if he'll build the motor with me :-D anyways, when I talk to him (he's a big ford guru) and talk about my build with him, i will see if he can ball park the boost my car will be able to make on pump gas (fully forged bottom end, plus the pistons i want will be able to handle a 300 shot of N2O, not that I will need that. lol) if he says something like: "oh, at least 1,000 PSI." ill get the big bubba KB. if he says "22" ill look into a smaller blower (less parasitic loss anyways...)

As it was previously said.... because I cant walk around with my large nutsack in people's faces... this is my next best thing... a blower thats *almost* as big as a 2JZ's entire motor... lol.

Tell me what you guys think of this:

2.8L KB is probably capable of, .... 750 HP *at least* ... considering the smaller one (2.6L blowzilla) is capable of 700.... lol.... This number is probably based off race-gas tunes... .. ..

What if i get three tunes. 1 tune for max power on race gas for race track only. Pulley swap (maybe a belt swap) at the track... no big deal... change the belt and pulley and switch the tune before i head out and fill-er-up with some race gas. by the time i hit the track ill have race gas running through my veins! :-D

tune 2 will consist of a low-boost premium octain advanced timing tune. Nothing dangerous enough to blow anything up... im sure a 500HP tune will keep me happy :)

tune 3 will consist of a low boost premium octain retarded timing tune. This will be my daily driver tune to pretect my motor from my lead foot. 450 HP? ish? i dono how much HP retarding the timing a few degrees will take, but... you get the idea.

Tune 4: NOS + VETAK + MIVEK + VORTECH all engage at 1,000 RPM on low-octain fuel for the ultimate ricer-fly-by vehicle.

what do you all think?
