id go with a larger cc head like a afr205 and shoot for a piston that gets you 10-10.5:1 unless you plan on a blower etc later down the road, then if thats the case go for 9.0-9.2:1
ditch the bbk tb and go with a accufab

i thought a AFR 205 would be too much for it actually. Guess i was wrong. Forged Crank can be worked into the Equation pretty easily.
What MM accufab??
I figured a Ebay CAI would be fine.

intake is WAY too small. I had a track heat on my 347 an it killed my power after 5k
65mm tb.... seriously? I ran a larger TB on my 302. Go with a 75mm MINIMUM. I run a 90mm.
I hope the LT's are 1-3/4" primaries
5.0kid said:ya for a street car with a 331, a street heat will work since you already have it, but since you're collecting parts right now, you might as well sell it and get a bigger intake...
otherwise, just look at your budget first. what you want to spend and work from there.
lastly, some will tell you to put some huge heads on a 331 just so you will make the most power, but it seems like this is a street car and you won't care about power at the top end so much. Your head choices seem awesome for a 331 on the street!
ProKiller said:i agree with addermk, that intake is sadly way too small. match the TB to whatever the intake size is. any larger is just pointless since your bottle necking it down then into the intake. i don't think afr 185s are out of the question.

having a larger throttle body then the inlet of the intake will affect the air velocity. air would hit the lip of the intake and would cause turbulence
