Well, as some of you know I am tearing down my motor. Here is a taste of what my garage looks like right now:

haha, i dont! its a mess! but its all fun, and it will be back stronger than ever! I'm hoping to have everything done come next fall time.

All I'm really doing is:
Forged rods/forged pistons/rings/bearings/rod bolts
Heads (not sure which route I want to go here) SVO, P/P PI, P/P NON PI
Install my crower stage 2 non pi blower cams
Upgrade my fuel system

Looks like your car threw up all over the garage, lol. j/k. Why did you take the cams out of the heads? What's the engine out for?

I originally took the engine out to install blower cams/valve springs. I couldnt physically get to the back valves, and I talked to a few shops and they said i had to pull the motor. so i did. while the motor is out though I have newer plans. I took the cams out because I am going with new heads as well (either p/p PI or svo) and installing my crower blower cams.

Hey, your name's Mike? Soooo's mine, Are you my brother? LOL

G/L on finding the SVO heads for anything less than a bundle or full price. Did you ever figure out what you were going to do about fuel? IDR.

I have decided I'm going to just go the p/p PI head route. I have not really decided on fuel yet. Every thing everybody recomends me is like a $1000 dollar setup....

I'm making 600rw with an intank and an inline 255 both rewired for 14v with relays, 60# injectors. If you want to do it another way, Granatelli sells a 10an fuel hat pickup/return $200, dual 255hv inline pumps $225, feed/return lines $100 and 42# injectors.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :bootyshake:

Wax it up, put the wheels back on it and throw it on my trailer! We'll get it to the AM show. I mean we pushed Bernie's car 80% of the way into the show, why not yours!

Update:

First steps being done are:
Sending my SQ trim to Vortech to be upgraded to SI trim (not quite a T trim, but a huge upgrade from SQ trim)
Working on buying a set of PI heads

thanks a lot for the nice words man.

As for the PI heads, I am currently in progress of buying a set of 2003, romeo PI heads, 2,300 original miles for $400 shipped off a guy.

Info on your PI heads? Miles? complete or bare? price?

Alright. Some progress has already started on the build. I bought a set of PI heads fully assembled, and also a high volume Melling oil pump. I'm really starting to narrow down on exactly what I want to do, and here is pretty much what I came up with. Let me know what you think:

MMR stage 3 port/polish on my PI heads (includes competition angle valve job as well)
Install crower valve springs/steel retainers (already have)
Install Crower stage 2 NON PI blower cams (already have)
Send Vortech SQ trim to Vortech to be upgraded to SI trim (happening in next few weeks)
Forged Rotating assmebly:
http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product.phtml?p=1000

or

MMR Street Mod 900 Rotating assembly
1200 HP Forged Steel Racing Crankshaft (6 or 8 bolt)
MANLEY 4340 Forged H-beam Rods with ARP Bolts
MANLEY Forged Pistons with tool steel Pins
Hastings or Speed Pro Rings
Clevite Rod and Main bearings
1 year Warranty

They are the same price

Fuel setup: I currently run 42# injectors, Walbro 255lph intank pump, 90MM LMAF
I know I am selling my 42# injectors and getting 60# injectors...but other than that not too sure about fuel

New water pump

All new gaskets/seals

how does everything look? If anybody has any ideas/suggestions I am listening!

Your car is gonna be awesome!!! I wish you would of stayed with the non-pi for the "cool" factor, but I know those pi's will put down better F.I. numbers than the non-pi's.

I don't know if you've thought about or addressed it yet but the LMAF is going to be maxed out really quick. I'd go with a BA3000 or an 05+
