Holy cow this thread is old and lagged behind.
Since last post, the vert ran, switched over to Holley EFI Dominator a custom air/water system, plus meth, manual rack, tossed the A/C, went vacuum pump, full Viking coil over, reinforced torque boxes and drag suspension and TONS more. In October'ish of 2018, we got it on the dyno, made 750rwhp on 10lbs and the new custom dual disc clutch just couldn't hold it.....built a 4R70W with trans brake instead. Installed auto trans and then lost interest.
Fast forward a year, and I bought a 1995 Cobra coupe. Had it immediately stripped down to a bare shell, sold off all the parts I wasn't going to use, had a full 12pt cage from Team Z installed, mini-tub rear,, through floor subs and started building a full on street/drag car for Dragweek.
I swapped over the drivetrain, added a 417 Motorsports 2k air/water intercooler and Holley Hi-Ram 8.2 intake, swapped into 83lb injectors (93oct fuel goals), bought/built the largest radiator/fan combo I could and moved it to the back. Made a custom heat exchanger out of a chunk of a Fluidyne radiator a buddy wasn't using. Mounted it up front in the bumper cover. Went with a 417 Motorsports tubular front end to free up weight and space as well.
Got rid of the Behind Bars 18gl fuel tank and magnafuel pump and went with more Holley stuff, using their dual feed brushless dual controller pump with a -12 and a -10 feed from a 13gl fuel cell I put in the trunk.
Swapped out the beautiful Cobra Rs...I sold and immediately regretted ....and went with some Billet Specialties Street Lights, dual bead lock rear 15x12 6.5bs and 17x4.5 fronts. Rear tires are a 325/50-15
Had a Mossier M88 rear built with 9" ends. Damn thing is a tank. 3.73 gears and a spool and Strange axles with 5/8" studs.
Went with Racecraft Inc for all the suspension, Chromoly K-member, a-arms, caster camber plates, and rear uppers & lowers with their Anti-Roll Bar as well. Moved over the Viking shocks/struts too. Installed another Flaming River manual rack in this one too. Used a Wild Rides upper control arm S-box and we tied it into the cage main hoop. I got a killer deal on Bear SS+4 brakes front and rear too. Strange and Maximum Motorsports manual brake conversion with pedal. Tin Soldiers race cars gas pedal.
Sparco steering wheel with strange quick disconnect and Motion Raceworks button kit and a pair of TITS Kirkey road race seats. They have a longer base pad to better support the legs and more side bolstering. Much more comfortable than their standard prostreet seat.
Also went with Racecraft Inc rear spoiler and chute mount and other odds and ends
Hood is a VFN Cajun Pro lift off extended and front and rear glass is now Optic Armor.
