you dont need no stinkin' return line!!! lol, just kidding

Willis_98GT, for that fuel line thats getting pinched, like everyone else has said, it shouldnt be getting pinched if its routed the right way. if it is and its still getting pinched, what you can do is replace it with a longer fuel hose and route it differently so it doesnt get pinched.

I wasn't saying coolant is your problem, I was just saying that I was not having any other issues like you are describing. It may be a good time for a fuel rail upgrade. I've been eying this kit for a while.

that looks nice, but if i had 200$ i'd be putting it towards pi heads :coolsmiley:

Reviaxtorres - i rerouted the line tonight... and completetly confused now...

if the car is fully warmed up and i've been driving at full temp for like 5 mins or so. the car will let me go wot... otherwise it spits. i'm completely confused :crazy2:

i'll switch the coolant sensors like jr suggested toimorrow, i was going to tonight, but came across the bad fuel return and some misc bullshit.

so at WOT it doesnt sputter, but it does any other times?

sounds like a misfire to me. double check that you have not crossed any of the wires, that they go in the order they are supposed to go.

as am i. so lets go down the check list:

1) no coolant leaks, right?
2) RTV method was used.
3) spark plug wires were NEVER removed during the entire swap (at all right? they never came off the spark plugs or the coil packs?)
4) no air leaks any where around the plennum, right?
5) fuel injectors are on nice and snug (and never dropped or handled bad during the removal process, right?)
6) EGR tube is bolted onto the EGR (forgot to that on countless occasions)
7) no air leaks around the EGR or IAC, right?
8) all air/vacuum tubes are plugged in, and plugged in where they are supposed to go?

1. can't see or smell anything
2. yes rtv was used, i held a laptop up right next to the ports as i did it to ensure perfection
3. spark plugs were not touched at all and wires were worked around. and never unplugged
4. none, everything is on tight around the plenum
5. i took the entire rail off and gently set the rails against the fender wrapped in a towel
6.egr is hooked up fine
7. no air leaks around egr or iac
8. i went over the vaccume lines a billion times. should be ok

Shoot. Rear as in towards the back of the car right?

The only thing that really comes to mind is like everyone else is saying, misfire. And like everyone else, it's usually the back passenger's side plug that get's hosed. You may have a busted plug or something else too.

could be. have you ever checked spark plugs before? i would go to autozone and buy the cheapest plugs they have and try it that way, if anything is improved, then you know its a spark issue. if nothing changes, then you only spent $10

lol, probably. like i said, if you feel like you are up to it (dont know how you are feeling from the accident/meds) take the extra time and get rid of that bracket that covers the FPR and blocks the #4 plug. with that one removed, its really easy to get that plug out. i use the spark plug socket and a 12" extension.

Plugs take about 15 minutes to get them all out once the bracket is out of the way.
