I've been wanting a bubble shifter for awhile just too worried about getting one and it not fitting. Can you let me know where you get yours? Mine will be black or green to go with my current color combo. I'm excited for this build and hopefully soon mine will start.

Have you thought about going outside the box for wheels? 240s have the same bolt pattern as us, I just dont know how much different the offset is......just some food for thought....some 5zigens could look dope!

That all depends on the width of the wheels and where he wants the tires to sit.

Im sure it could be done with the right size spacers but I think saleens with a stretched tire would look sick.

Hes trying to create a drift mustang, not turn his mustang into a 240sx. lol

I never said he was trying to turn his mustang into a 240, i just said it because i sold my starfish 5 spokes to my buddy who drifts and he jokes around all the time about swapping his 5zigens for shits and gigs

false corollas are not the best drift e86 owners because they are not irs and posi lsd trac lock all the same but majority of complaints are how the rear end can be a tad unpredictable but cobras have a lsd as well

your out of luck because i think the biggest shift thread is 12x1.5 and our shifter is 12x1.75 so tap and die my friend make that ish fit my friend and the problem with alot of wheels is the offset for most import wheels that arent super expensive way to high

Curious to see where this thread goes, Not a fan of what your doing to the car but at the same time it would to see a mustang out on the track sliding. Just not your ideal car for the job :)

Bubble shifters remind me of lava lamps.... Just me?

have already taken it out twice and the car is a bit of a transitioning nightmare but initiations are easy with low end torque and the factory lsd makes holding the power in drift pretty good other than that we wait till i get coilovers to really beat the beast

Ford trac-loc and Chevy posi are both LSD's. LSD= Limited Slip Differential.
Mustangs have Traclok, camaros have posi.
I'm sure IRS rear differentials are LSD's also.
isnt posi where if one of the wheel is spinning freely, the other does not move where if you have an lsd, the other wheel will compensate and start spinning too?

I think that's the biggest problem from the factory with these cars... It's real easy to hang the back out when you want, but it's hard to make it do what you want whenever it does jump out from under you. Getting real sideways can get a bit sketchy.

Amen. I was sliding it around in an empty parking lot behind my friend's house the other night and I can't seem to keep the control in my Mustang where I can pretty easily in my friend's LS2 GTO. I think a lot of it has to do with how easy it is to throw his car around and control it with all that power but the Mustang just doesn't want to follow what I want to do as much.

i have a question for this thread. not to steal it or anything but seeing as your planning on going that low and having you car handle still and a lot of guys on here drive pretty low too. i'm on full coilovers and autox/trackday but when i first put them on i noticed the car riding on the pinion snubber badly making it very difficult to drive so i had to raise the back of the car up quite a bit. how do you guys get passed this?
