Hey guys, I'm sitting at work bored dreaming about building my engine and was wondering what kind of power you think I'll make and if you think my set-up is a good one. Keep in mind this is a budget 347 build haha

302 roller block
B303
crane 1.7 roller rockers
GT40p heads (mild port)
vic jr. single plane
Holly 650 double pumper
probe 347 rotating assembly
long tube headers

I'm pretty much set on that, but I'm not sure if I should use 1.7 or 1.6 rocker arms, I think the cobras came with 1.7 but I'm not sure. There is also a good chance I'll change the heads to AFR 185's and some point.

With that exact setup.. Maybe 300 :dontknow:

My buddy built a 331 with my old pro ported GT40 heads and a GT40 tubular intake. Iirc he used an anderson N71 cam.

He made 330ish rwhp. The heads and cam are whats gonna hurt power.

I agree with Lafen, the heads are going to kill a 347. You'll probably make over 300 but might not be much. And yes Cobras came with Crane 1.7:1 rr.

Why get rid of EFI?

+1 never understood that. You get crappier mileage, the tune can be good with a carb but the adjustability with efi is almost endless..

And with that setup I say bareyl over 300. Bad heads and cam combo to say the least on a 347.
