Will do! Thanks man!

I am sad I was inside passed out and missed all the tear down. :(

Oh there's plenty more to go. I just barely scratched the surface.

I haven't had too much time the last couple of days to work on this, but I took the plenum, throttle body, power steering reservoir and a few other small things off this evening.

Some notes:
- I noticed a lot of oil in the intake. Even to the point where there's some puddled in there.
- There's a considerable amount of rust in and around the coolant crossover.
- Almost every fuel injector has the wires held on with zip ties.

I still have no idea what this garbage is/was. It was grounded to one of the bolts under the radiator cover. And there's (what appears to be) a power wire going through the firewall. I haven't traced it to see where it comes from, yet.

No need to drug her... I just wait until the kids are in bed and she passes out on the couch at night. Then I sneak out to the garage. :D

thats a cheapo strobe light kit, supposed to look like a cop car BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I've wired up strobes before in commercial vehicles and they looked nothing like that. Those just looked like some kind of cheesy air temp sensors or something lame. Thanks for the info... solves that mystery.

I think I rented movie off PPV called "Ivory Snake"...
Looks like you have your hands full (think that was a line from the movie) but good luck! Can't wait to see the progress on it.

Went out this morning to wrench around a little on it. I removed the two COP covers and found some kind of "mystery" wire under the passenger side cover that seems to be "spliced" into the harness in two different places. *sigh*

IMG_20130817_035210_068.jpg

I went to pull the COPs out and about half of them were absolutely DRENCHED in oil.

To top it off, I went to take out the valve cover bolts and about three quarters of them were loose already.... :deeplist:

Essentially, the entire thing is going to be tore down to the block and built from the ground up, so I'm not overly concerned about anything that I'm finding wrong. I'm mainly posting all this half-assed Mickey Mouse crap for the lawlz. :D

That box almost looks like a temperature control to me..

Its what tells the electric fans when to cut on and off.. you adjust the potentiometer to tell the fans to cut on at a higher or lower temp..

This is the one off my car as reference

Damn Charles don't know how I missed this build thread but looks like your gonna have your work cut out for you bud! That's the problem with cars that have had many owners, they've had many hack jobs done to them. But it looks like you've made good progress so far man keep it up.

And personally I think since you already have a s/c cobra it would be way cool to do a turbo build :)

Love the project. And lol on the strobes. You should save them for the full lightbar setup you're going to put on it like your old truck. ;)
