Bought a new daily today. Wasn't the SVT I was looking for, but I couldnt pass up something 5 years newer, tasteful mods, and low kms for cheap. 2009 focus se coupe. 5 speed manual magnaflow exhaust - usually Im not a fun of 4 cyl noise. This actually sounds very nice! I was impressed short throw shifter Steeda intake eibach? lowering springs - perfect amount for looks and hopefully winter drive-ability. The car's paint isn't perfect... but its good enough. No major damage, just some small chips with crappy touch up paint on. Interior needs a good clean too. Just needs some love. Was cheap and mechanically looks good. Any recommendation on what to do with touch up spots? Just paint, little wet sand, polish? Won't be perfect but will look better? Paid $100 less then I sold the 04 mazda for
Mazda 3, to a newer focus. Pretty much the only two cars I'd consider for a nice daily that isn't mental of some sort.
Well time for an update! First thing: Front Sway Bar End Links. These are super easy to wear though, especially when you lower the car like in my case. Moog as suppose to be the best, but we'll see how long they last. If I go through them super quick, I'm getting Massive ones. This is the worst sound when you're driving around with failed ones... As you can see they really failed. Decided to switch out the rears too Second thing Fog lights... Third thing Gave the interior a badly needed clean... I believe the previous owner was a drywaller/mudder? it was nasty but I knew the seats weren't stained. I didn't take any before pictures I'll post current pictures after I finish my current project, which brings me to.... Forth thing Currently working on the rear And the second thing I'm currently work on is What color? Well here's a teaser. Dark Light Photoshoot to come! Also probably an exhaust video.
Quick pictures of results. Might need a bit more flake. Plastidip Gun metal with silver flake Interior needs another detial, but atleast its cleanish. Should have seen before... love the display! Its a light blue and red at night, the car also has factory mood lights that I can switch through a mid range of colors!
I love FOFO content. I used to have an 07 ST. Here's mine ( a little too "rice" for some people but I loved it) mods included fswerks CAI OBX header custom exhaust 2.5" piping 18" resonator with magnaflow muffler Fswerks tune eibach sportlines (too soft) eibach 24mm rear sway Massive front and rear sway bar. sorry for the long post. I loved and missed my old car. I was kind of a focus nerd.
great looking sedan for sure! What wheels are those?! Also, what sway bar end links? I'll see how the moog goes, but planning on getting massive ones. I find the eibach springs super soft too, but its better looking than stock. Love fswerk stuff. Not sure what to do with this car in the long run... its almost not worth dumping a bunch of mod money, I'd eventually like to get a new ST. I have 1 more year of school, but if I got a ST I think id want collision and that will be expensive... This car could also use a new paint job.
G-line 308 (ebay specials) 17x7.5 et38mm Moog should treat you right. H&R's or coilovers would be better choices. Throw a fswerks turbo and be done with it lol.
I havent liked Focus too much until I picked up my rental on Saturday. Its a 14 SE Model. Cant for the life of me get the radio to connect to the bluetooth on my Android though. Its a perky lil 4 cyl though and handles fairly decent.
I rode in one for over 10 hours a few months ago through mountains. I was extremely impressed! Decent power and amazing gas mileage, had to pay hardly anything for gas. More money for beer on that trip Very comfy, love the interior. An ST would be perfect!
