My wife doesn't care or know much about cars, but she know's I like them and supports me in the time and $ I put into it.
that's how it should be.

Totally agree. I just keep my wife happy in the car she drives and whatever I want to do the stang is my business. She likes comfy (heated leather), decently quick with plenty of room for the family when we are all in. She did suprise me recently when she suggested taking the stang to the beach with her.

I don't think women will ever get our love affair with cars. None I've dated ever have. And my wife was "all for my car hobby" when we were dating. Its a totally different story now that we're married.

10% of women are gearheads. The other 90% are against anything that takes time / money away from THEIR interests.

Old thread is old! Only girl I had liked me for the free-loading purpose that I have a nice mustang, after I rear ended someone, she wanted nothing to do with me :dontknow: Other close friends whom are girls like the smell of my car, it apparently smells like flours inside, I have this ambi-pur air freshners so they never complain about exhuast smell, even though im about 90% sure my cats are plugged...

my girlfriend mods her scion. we share the passion equally only, she hates my car and makes fun of it whenever she gets the chance.

BUT, She's been towed to a shop more times than I can count on my fingers so I evenly make fun of her for that.

My women likes my stang. Its sexy, sounds good, and i keep it clean. I can take her to dinner nice places because my car is so damn clean nobody cares its a mustang. My car is cleaner that 98% of cars on the road

Part of the deal of us being together is that she understands that i like my car and sometimes cant see her because i need to spend time cleaning or working on my car....but it pays of for her when we can cruise the beach in a clean ass car and get nice stares and looks because the car is so clean, sounds good, and we can go to dinner in a clean sexy car.

She doesnt care. My girls is all vegetarian and save the planet but i explained to her in scientific detail that cows farting pollute more than my car. She hates cows so thats more credit to me and gets me laid.

Turn this whole deal around and make HER feel bad for something she likes so much. whatever it is just make her feel bad about it like she makes you feel bad about your stang. Then explain how she is making you feel bad about something you love so much and you were just trying to make her understand the error of her ways.

Its not fast, but it throws and pins u back in your seat if I'm half way into the throttle. I never seen someone scared of such a slow car lol. Now I know driving my car verus being drove is a big difference. So I understand her bc when I'm in my friends 03 cobra it scares the heck out me in its stock form.

I let her shift the gears and downshift while I was driving. Hopefully she starts liking the pony. I mean she's gonna always have some hate because I have 2 boo's now. .. The car and her..

my girlfriend has an 03 cobra and she wrenches on it so its not a problem.. we are actually talking about getting rid of mine and me getting an suv or something since i can drive the cobra whenever i want..
