right, I'm gonna swap an '03 IRS into my '96 Cobra

What I have now is a complete IRS with upgraded bushings
I'm gonna re-use my own brakes

- brackets & hardware
- rear '03 cobra driveshaft flange
- Bilstein shocks

What I'm about to order

- Springs
- Spring iso's
- alu driveshaft (96-04)
- precision 448 1330/1350 U joint (to swap 03 flange on alu ds)
- New OEM rear IRS brakelines
- IRS exhaust
- low profile IRS bolts

Anything else I'm forgetting?

Are those upgraded bolts? I think you are good on your parts list if they are. What about an adjustable tie-rod for the IRS to set proper alignment?

I saw your thread on SVTP also. Did they have any more suggestions? I think you have it all down, but I'm not an expert on IRS swaps.

I'm having doubts about the driveshaft. Could someone please clear this up for me:
A '96 cobra with stock T45 that gets a '03 cobra IRS, will it or will it not be able to use a stock (or alu) '96-'04 driveshaft?

I thought the only reason for a shorter ds was the T56, and I was getting ready to order an aluminium driveshaft ('96-'04) and replace the rear flange with the '03 cobra flange using a hybrid 1330/1350 u joint.

your stock driveshaft will work. I was reading on SVTP that 99 cobra's actually fit the 96-98 FRPP GT/cobra aluminum driveshaft.
