If its the first time you've ever ported its gonna take awhile and you'll likely go through into the coolant passages a few times. Or so I hear. I personally wouldn't have the patience to do something like that myself.
I still say that if you're gonna get aluminums anyways just save yourself the time and effort and just run the stockers until then.
