Pi intake
pi cams
trans go shift kit
4.10's
Cai+k&n filter
mac cat back
tranny cooler
Professional Products 75 tb + pelum
March UDP's

I'm considering these mods. My car is 98 gt auto, how big of a difference will these mods make. Also I plan on using the anderson motorsport cam
tool for the cam swap(anybody else use this?), Will the pi cams just go right into the npi heads with no other modifications?

That's cool, but skip the transgo and get a good valvebody. Add in some LCA's and a good converter and you'll be solidly in the mid 13's.

I wouldn't go w/ the trans go kit but the rest of it looks like a good plan. It mostly depends on which cams you buy. if you pick up the later Romeo bolt on cams then its pretty easy because you reuse your cam gears if you have 11 bolt valve covers. I'd do an X pipe instead of the cat back.

Transgo kits are made to get more of a seat of the pants feeling. They give extremely hard shifts but sometimes at the expense of other parts. Ive seen other kits from transgo that remove parts that really should be there or have you doing unnecessary work so i tend to stay away from them.

I could get all technical as to why the transgo kit for AODE/4r70ws sucks, but I've done that before, and honestly, most people don't know what I'm talking about anyway, suffice it to say, Bigtang is pretty much correct.

It's mostly marketing, people think if they get 1-2 scratch it's a good product, and it's just not that simple.

Never used it, heard it bends though.

Personally, i'd rather see you pull the cover and know it's right, than take a shortcut and start a thread about your bent valves.

I can respect that, it seems that the trans go kit would provide that sotp feeling I'm looking for unforturntaely, it seems to be at the expense of the trans life huh? The trans cooler would not help any?

It's actually converter life, but yes you are right. I want to see EVERYONE run a trans cooler, lol. I like the Derale units, B&M also has a nice stacked plate unit a little cheaper.

The only thing about using the cam tool, is that even if it doesn't bend, you have no idea if the chains moved. I know if I used it, it would go like this, "Did that just slip? I dunno, I don't think so..." Whhhrrrr whrrr whrrr BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.
