Grab a cigar and give it a smoke test. You’ll find the leaks quickly. Double check you routing on the harness. More than likely a wire is pinched somewhere.

I’m thinking since I lost oil pressure and spun 5 rod bearings some metal got in one and clogged it. Then it just took about 6 20 min idles and some street driving to clear it up.I noticed if these engines sit for a while

Quick update. The head noise went away, guessing it was a lash adjuster that just took a long time to pump back up. Then I was chasing a overheating problem. But now that seems to be fixed so we are going to the track tomorrow.

What manual rack are you looking at? I bought a Unisteer one and it was great fit/quality and quite a bit cheaper than Flaming RiverWhich leads me to a question. Has anyone deleted the hydroboost and maintained power steering? The price of the manual rack and shaft is very off putting for me.
