niceeee joey..can't wait till i do the ass end of my car

Thanks man. It feels like a whole new car in terms of drivability. Hooks on the straights, hooks on the curves... It's just a lot more fun now. You'll love it when you do it to yours I promise you that!

i demand an IRS joey!

Haha now way Belb I love this rear end I have in it now. Here I'll give ya a list of what's done to it

Housing from 98 Cobra
Cobra brakes
Auburn Pro Series diff
31 Spline Moser's
3.73's
Downs diff cover
Poly diff bushings
J&M upper control arms
J&M street/track lower control arms
Eibach sway bar

It's completely done now man. I definitely did not think I'd ever get it all done. Other than quad shocks and shocks/struts I have nothing left on the rear end!

Yeah man it's completely done and built now. It's ironic because my dad was telling me to start from the back and work my way up. And I ended up doing just that because I had issues with my stock diff. I had not planned on getting everything built on it, but I got lucky when I picked up the rear end that everything is done to it. Then Brian gave me the upper J&M's so I had those already, and with the stock sway bar stuck on the stock control arm (weld on the nut broke, and had to much weld built up to get a wrench on it) so I had to replace the sway bar. Figured I'd get the control arms too and rack that debt up with my mom lol. But she's done! Next will probably be the motor.... Whenever that happens...

So long drawn out story short...

Stock diff busted on me: Bought rear end out of 98 Cobra with the diff, axles, gears, diff cover, and diff bushings
Had J&M uppers, so replaced stock when rear end was out
Bought J&M lowers and sway bar to finish everything up

Everything is done :)

good stuff..your old man thinks the way too many people don't nowadays..if you're gonna build the car then do it right..your rear end is taken care of so now you don't have to worry about putting power to it

Exactly what I was thinking. He always gives me advice from his good ol' days. Said he used to break shit all the time until he learned to build it right. And been giving me that same advice ever since. Rear end, trans, motor. But I don't think I'll have to worry about the trans for a minute. I'll think about doing the motor next idk depends how in depth I get with this motor build

Shitttt Chris don't kill my luck lol. I should probably say "it's holding up". Yeah I plan someday to get rid of the B&M (which I think is missing a spring because it knocks back from sliding it to the right, but just sits there when ya slide it to the left. The plan is an MGW. I'd buy det riot's but 1: I'm really fawkin broke. 2: I want the gold handle because it's the longest

Yep spring is probably broken. I never realized how strong the springs were in this TriAx until I pulled it outta the car. Detroit's is sold so buy mine! haha The shift handle is a decent length and if its too short you can move it up. I just wish the damn thing would work on my TR3650... I only have the stock shifter base for it so Ill probably be using the TriAx handle until I buy the other shifter or sell the TriAx.

WARNING!! Be VERYYYYYY careful shifting to third fast if that spring is screwed. You could very well go back into first....

Yeah it's been broken since I bought the car. It wasn't until I did some research on how the shifters work that I figured out the spring was broken. I had a lot harder time shifting when I first bought it due to the stock trans mount (which I keep forgetting I put the poly mount on....) But when I switched it to the poly mount shifting became 1000000x easier. Still occasionally **** up going into 3rd but it's got a first gear lockout that I'd really have to SLAM it to get it to accidentally go into first. I usually just hit the divider on the trans lol. I'd buy yours but I'm really wanting an MGW man. Steeda's are kickass, but I want to try my luck with an MGW. I'll see how much money I have after this next paycheck....... Maybe mom won't notice some disappearing......

I dont blame you one bit. I am wanting to try the MGW myself. I have a TriAx lined up here locally for a 3650 but leaving that alone in case I find a MGW for a reasonable price.

Yeah man if you get one before me you'll have to let me know how she works compared to the triax. Somebody who uses a triax all the time would know the difference better than me
