Well I got my JLT in the mail today. Planning on installing it tomorrow. Holy crap this thing is huge!!! I hope it will wake the car up some more. It should help a good bit since the stock air box has to be restricting the air flow to my throttle body and new intake. Here's a pic of it. Already did the hard part of installing it. Had to heat the rubber piece that goes into the filter to get it on.

The JLT is on. I can tell a decent bit of difference in the way the car feels, but still not very quick lol. But the car is fun to drive now!!!

Also a few pics of the exterior of the car. I clayed, waxed, and sealed it.

Thanks guys! I might have a big update coming soon. A buddy of mine might be getting rid of his Aftercooled Vortech V2, and if so I will definately be buying it. But if I don't get it, I'll have to find something else to do on the car to keep me busy this winter.

The car looks badass and that intake turned out great. Too bad that once everything is assembled you cant really see how good it looks. By the way you said you were going to do a wire tuck, that would be a great idea for this winter and then I can copy you, lol.

Hmmm I already forgot that I planned to tuck the wires... I guess I'll have to do that this winter.

Guess I'll bump this thread. The car hasn't changed a bit since October. The JLT is off and sold, that's about it. My friend with the Vortech is getting close to selling it, so that should be going on in the next month or so. I'd like to pull the heads off and have them gone through, and install some good blower cams before the Vortech goes on. We'll see what happens... I'm getting bored with the car in its current state. Here's a pic of the car anyways.

The best advice I can give you is to go over to autogeek.net and read up on the correct ways to detail a car. I would definitely go out and buy a Porter Cable 7424 polisher before trying anything. You really can't mess your paint up with it. Read up on the correct procedures and start out on something you don't care about. You will be amazed at the difference you can make with the correct skills and a little time. $200 for the Porter Cable, pads, and good selection of polishes and waxes will make a TON of difference on your car. My car has the original paint with 132,000 miles, and it came out pretty good.
