The most recent Camarillo Airport autocross was with neverenuff, who was kind enough to let me stay the night, since its a 2 hour drive with no traffic. The course was a weird one, basically, two twisty drag races. Yours truly hit the timing. YAYYYY!!! check it out! Also, check out the Flickr album for some nice shots by myself and my girlfriend. neverenuff and I were 2/3 of the SRA cars there, and we held our own very well. Good time it was!

As you can see in my video above, my ABS isnt working. Read the codes, it through a 34. Changed the sensor, still doesnt work. I have a feeling it has something to do with the fender wires that were sliced up during my off-road excursion in November. In addition to that, when I took off the brakes, i notice that the pad has a reall unusual wear. Someone said that i should grease the pad where it touches the bracket, but others suspected that the caliper is toast. We will see. I also have a power steering issue. So turns out, during the hot pits, my car gets hot, which means the power steering fluid gets hot. So, during my SCCA runs in Feb, i had some spots where the steering literally locked up. In my quest to find a solution, I came across an older autocrosser who had a CP fox body. He has a saginaw steering pump kit. It has a saginaw steering pump, a fluid cooler, all the lines. The problem? It is for a fox body. So a little background into this kit. It is a kit that is popular for off-roading explorers. A company started making the bracket to fit a fox, and corner carvers started using it to solve their power steering issues. Similar to the KRC steering pump kit, except the saginaw is cheaper.

In addition to all these issues, i found that when i was at Camarillo that i have yet another coolant leak. Coming from around the drivers side heads. In addition to that, i still need to install the MM upper shock mounts, fix the power steering and abs, and install the fuel pressure regulator and get a tune. I just cant find the time to do this because it will take more than a weekend up fix these issues. And as all of you know, this is my Daily Driver. YAYYYY!!!! -_-. Well, i found the perfect solution. GET A NEW CAR. SOOO Ladies/Gents/whatever you want to be today, i introduce you to my 2017 Lexus IS200T F-Sport.

A sway bar is a fine tuning item. Really depending how you drive, it is not always needed. I also drive our shop Miata with the rear sway disconnected. Other people drive with it connected at my work, but I believe the thing rotates too much. I like the car to be on the tight side and use the brakes to make the car rotate.

I wouldn't go that direction. You want a some kind of rear squat for rear end traction, and going away from rear bar, and compensating with spring rate to balance it, will create a really stiff rear, which will struggle to put the power down. This is be amplified by the solid rear axle even further, since the shock from one wheel does get transmitted over to the other wheel as well.
