There is a tool Mac makes to install lug studs, It works AMAZING I suggest it if you can pick it up prior to installing the new studs. I used it for mine when I had to redo the studs (manufactured wrong and studs were cracking) and it was 1/2 the time.

Bah, I was just going to go with the old hammer out/pull in routine :violent1:

In all honesty a buddy already stepped up and offered a stud tool, not sure if it is MAC but I am sure it's the same idea

When replacing a stud, I actually found what works best is to pulling it in as far as you can before it gets too tight. Then just go for a drive for about 15 minutes or so. In the mean time spindle or axle will expand, and as soon as you come to a stop, you will be able to pull the stud in completely and easily. I've tried doing it on cold car many times, and most of the times it ended up as a broke stud.

Which Lugs are you going to use once you get longer studs? It looks like you have capped lugs if you get longer studs you might need a new set of lugs that has a deeper well.

I already bought a set of 2" deep cone seat lugs, installed the 2.5" studs today. Found a crack on one of my caliper brackets so will need to pick up new ones tomorrow.

For anyone wondering why I am changing studs my Centerlines for the front are 15x6 3.5BS so I need to run a 1/2" spacer to clear the brakes

FYI - if you tighten the OEM "acorn" lugs onto the stud far enough you will find out the chrome ends are just pressed in caps anyway and they really are open end lugs

Rears are done, new caliper brackets will be in tomorrow PM and then I can finish the fronts

Decided to keep the calipers red but painting all the brackets black to break things up a little

what made you go with the drag wheel thing?

Have always loved the look of Centerlines since I had my fox body, these were for sale at a price so low I couldn't resist. Honestly paid a lot less with the tires, studs, spacers and center caps then most sellers want for just rims.

Rear DR's are almost dead so I will be replacing those with 275/50/15's (60's right now which is making my ABS light stay on) and may go up a couple sizes on the fronts as well

The new wheels hide your sexy brakes...looks good man.

Yeah that pissed me off a little to see but that's ok because the Bullits are going back on soon anyway, should be able to see them really good with those on
