Baby steps:
“Sluggish” came over today and we ( ok, he) advanced the timing 12 degrees. Seems to run better already. Smoother and no inconsistent idle/throttle

I had a feeling the timing was off.

Was reading 0 on the timing gun when we first checked it.

I advanced it to right around 10-12.

No pinging when Daryl drove around. Gave it the beans too.

It did sound a lot smoother at idle with that small adjustment.

Drove a shit ton better this morning to work . Idles at 1000rpm but I can live with it.

yea I think I would be finding a new tuner. If they really had it on the dyno, I am not sure why other than to bill you. 0 degrees I mean timing should have been one of the first things checked/adjusted. Sucks but ask around for another reputable tuner.

I agree that a new tuner is in order. When the results ended up as they did, some troubleshooting should have ensued. Thst said, when I took my car in for its dyno tune, one of the pre-session checklist items (on me) was to verify the timing was set to factory spec. This was along with verifying correct fuel pressure, having new plugs, wires, cap/rotor, and other things.
