Rick i would do gearheads for the work and lonestar to buy parts. but right now, im not going to refer anyone to Lonestar.
these guys are pissing me off. i haven't worked on the motor in 2 weeks because of them. i bought this motor for 5800 dollars! the LEAST LONESTAR can do is give me all the shit i need. weve been back twice to pick up parts because they keep forgetting stuff. they forgot a bunch of bolts and nuts so we couldn't do much. that was the first time.
so i made a list, with numbers and the amount of each thing we were missing to make their life easy. well my dad gives them the list, they say, hey sorry about this we will get this list finished by tomorrow. so my dad goes back, the OWNER of the shop says OK i checked everything to make sure its in this box so you are good to go. the only thing he said he didn't have was the coolant crossover tube thing.
so my dad doesn't check because we were told everything was in the box. well wouldn't you know, the d*** ARP stud nuts are missing and washers. i specifically wrote on the d*** paper 2 stud nuts and 5 washers. well NOT one of each was in there. so i still can't put the passenger side head on which means i can't put the timing assembly on which means i cant time it which means i can't do anything to the motor until the stupid heads are on.
after this motor is done, Lonestar will never get my business again.
another weekend wasted. i ordered new nuts and washers off of Summit's website. should be here today but i wont be home to work on it until this weekend.
you guys know what though, im kinda glad this has happened, and my dad pointed this out too.. but the reason im glad is because i will one day, I will own a performance shop/online parts store (either or both) and im seeing how you shouldn't treat customers. all in one day, lonestar screwed us over, orielly's said they didn't have a part for my moms civic so my dad spends 30 dollars somewhere else. well, we end up going into orielly's looking for something for my car and we come across the part we needed for the civic for 9 dollars.... and then, we go to NAPA and the OWNER told us they PROBABLY have the ARP bolts we need. so im like are you sure, hes like yes we should have something like it but he refused to go check for me on the phone.. so I end up driving 25 minutes and they have nothing like it and then the owner basically kicked my dad out because the owner wouldn't even say sorry, what can i do to make things right, or anything. he just ignored my dad so my dad got pissed. people cant run businesses anymore. i will be running my business for the customers, people are pathetic now a days.
