trey, i don't understand the point to this buddy, why don't you just stick the white cobras motor in the black one, build the black ones identically to the white ones and then drop the black one into the white one :dunno: seems like your taking an extremely long route to get your motor

as far as an increase from having your engines bottom end forged, you wont gain any horsepower from that unless you up the compression, bigger stroke or bore. from the pictures it lookes like your pistons are the stock compression, if its balanced then you would gain a couple ponies. your forged bottom end gives you the luxury of force feeding it now and not having to worry about it grenading on you. your bolt on mods should give you a descent amount of power probably between the 300-310 wheel power. your engine will really shine if you supercharge/turbocharge or put nitrous on it, you definetely have a leg up on most 96-98 cobra owners who dont have built engines thats for sure! once again goodluck :bunny3:

knuckeles explained it pretty well you wont see a increse in power from using forged it will just be able to handle a poweradder very well now so throw some nitrous at it and have a GREAT time....if the engine is good to put together why wasnt it then from that guy....i wouldn't take anyones word i have been burned by reputable people so i say check it out....

we already put the heads on and torqued them down. we did clean up the pistons and walls and we are going to lube up the bottom end is pretty well lubed up.

im not taking the long route to building my car. it just makes more sense for us to only have ONE motor out at a time instead of two. i MAY still put this motor in my black cobra but both cars are mine atm. when they are both done, i will choose which cobra i want.

i can't have my black cobras engine out without the white cobra having an engine because I have to drive something while one is down. when we finish this motor (in the next two weeks), it will go in the white cobra. i will then drive the white cobra until the black cobra's motor is done. then i will choose which car i want.

lol does that only make sense to me? maybe im dumb haha.

and thanks for clarifying your guyses thoughts on the power. i didn't know if forged internals would mess with the horsepower or not. thanks guys!

couldn't you make a 4v 5.4 ?

They already have 4v 5.4liters. they come in navigators, cobras, and the gt500.

i have pictures, i just gotta get them off my dads camera. the car is REALLY dirty because its been outside.. well actually you probably couldn't tell much in the pictures but ill try getting them off his camera tonight for you guys and uploaded tomorrow morning.

we got all the parts except the coolant crossover over tube or w/e its called (thing that goes in the intake valley) so we may finish up the main parts of the motor tomorrow.

we should get everything done and ready to go in the car though. we just got to put one head on, timing chains, time the motor, and a few other small things. we should be mostly done tomorrow though. :thumb: :thumb:
