While some tires will hook better than others, with 300whp, you can make a set of nittos hook...you have to have some sort of suspension setup. NOT stock controls arms with lowering springs. Slicks on stock axles is overkill and a stupid way to break shit. Properly setup i.e. tire pressure, pinion angle, proper burnout, and launch techniques....all influence whether you "hook"' or not. That AND, if you're going and trying to run on the average test and tune night after a one wheel peeling S-10 just tore up the starting line and an e-brake draggin honda just watered down the 60ft area...well then if you're expecting results, you're sadly mistaken. What I'm getting at is that yes, there are tires that are vastly superior to the Nittos however, with 258rwhp, the Nittos will suit you fine.
