Need help building up my 1995 Vert this is for a program called beat the heat (beattheheatinc.org) What I have now is GT40 upper and lower intake, BBK Shorty headers, Mac off road H-pipe, tranny has mild shift kit and built up alittle (larger overdrive servo and such). pulling 16.028 @85mph in the 1/4 motor is pretty much stock right now..... HELP!!!!!

The kids in the rice runners are giving me a run for my money (not cool)
need info on heads and cam and all the go fast stuff looking to get mid 13sec cuz well faster and then I need to look into roll bars per NHRA regs...

take the 25lb. weight off the front end I think there is a post in the 94-95 section look in weight reduction, you need to drop all the weight you can off of that vert. them things are heavy, afr185 or trickflow heads, custom grind cam or tfs stage 1 cam, 150 shot of nitrous.

are you driving it like you stole it? check timing, plugs, and rest of tune. those parts should be faster even with vert. in decent weather of course.

Seems very slow for the mods and gears. You should be pulling at least mid to low 15's with your current setup at factory weight. Since it's a vert. Like said above, check the timing and all ignition related components. (Do a nice tune up). Add a 2 step especially with that automatic and you'll see your 60' times improving. Also, what is your rear suspension looking like? Tires?

Im lost you have all this in the stang now and only running 16's? I run a 14.8 with all I have (SOME weight gone, 4.10, CAI, OR h pipe, flowmasters, I leave at 1800 rpm due to stock converter and shift. A better tourqe converter and a valve body and some tuning and I should be in the 13's.

Sorry I must have miss worded the post wrong I have the GT40 intake just not on yet and I have the Headers just not on yet as well as the 4.10 gears just not in yet.... The car does have the 2400-2600 stall converter and the off road H-pipe and other then that its stock.... Running 16.028 @85mph now it does have 250,000 on the motor with all new gaskets due to an oil over fill... NOW I am going to do a full tune up plugs, wires, fuel filter oil and air filter... That should help looked at it to day and yep has prob not been dune in a long time.....

wow man i had a 94 gt coup Auto back in the day with off road h, CAI, and i ran a 14.7 at 98mph with just a little advanced timeing and some 93 gas.

your car probably weighs a few hundred more then that car but damn 16.0

yeah before you upgrade make sure you get your car tuned up because there is something wrong.

check what your 60 foots were they should be 2.1 or better and if not then you were spinning or something.
