Hello all, This would be my first thread started on here so bare with me. I bought this car the end of September of last year. The car I had previous to that was a built and supercharged 00 gt. Was a great car but my love for sn95's slowly got the better of me and here I am now. The car when purchased started out with a dss 331 stroker, trickflow heads, TF stg2 cam, and about every other bolt on.

The day I picked it up....

First thing I did was get the car looking how I wanted. I loved the hood but thought the bumper and tail could use some work.
Mach1 Chin and Saleen Spoiler installed...(spoiler is'nt mounted all the way yet)

I didnt intentionally buy this car to build it even more but after driving my last stang which made 511rw, the need for speed took over. I at first new I wanted to go turbo mainly because I havnt done one before and really didnt have that much knowledge of them. I have installed two superchargers, roots and centrificull styles, so this was a good change of pace. The 5.0 platform had a variety of different turbo systems to choose from, and I'm glad they did because I was on a somewhat tight budget (Full time college student as well as full time employment) yata yata yata.... Anyway it came down to the Boost brothers kit and On3. I had my heart set on the On3 because I heard they had great customer service and their price wasnt far off from the BB kit. Instead I had a boost brothers kit fall into my lap for a pretty damn good deal so I couldnt resist.

Tear down process......

Heres some pics during the hot-piping mock ups everything went pretty smoothley but for anyone else installing this kit with a maximum motorsports tubular k-member, you will have to space the motor up on the driver side almost 3/4 of an inch to clear room for the header.

Here's the spacers I had to make on the driver side K-member in order to allow the header to fit...

Heat wrap is comleted. Strongly reccomended as under hood temps are gonna get intense, expecially around your plug wires....

Welp thats pretty much as far as I am now. I still need to a Mega Squirt Ecu, Fuel pump and the rest of my gauges. If anyone can give me some tips with the megasquirt tuning I would really appreciate it, its all new to me. Thanks for looking and I'll keep this updated.

sick build man, what are your goals with the car?

Thanks, Im really just trying to make it a fun street driver yet be able to have some track time. I roughly go to the track 6 times a year. As for hp goals Im still running a 302 based engine so I dont wanna go to far past 500rwhp, but would be very happy with 430 t0 460rwhp. For the future I plan on saving for a 351 w/forged internals, ditch the gernal bearing turbo I have now with a ball bearing and crank the boost a bit more. That along with a auto tranny and I will be very happy.

very nice, good luck with everything and get us a vid when its up and running!

430-460 should be nothing for you to hit, and be sure to post up some ET's!

Here's some shots of my old stang...
Specs: DSS 283 forged rotating assembly
Vt Stg3 Blower cams
Stock heads worked
V2 vortech supercharger (14lbs of boost)
Hooker Lt's, Mac prochamber, flomaster dumps
Stock transmission...this was the weak side of the car
Detroit locker w/3.73's

Made 511rwhp on 14lbs, 460rwhp on 10lbs

Was a fun car also featured in modified mustangs magazine....

Thanks! I cant take the credit on making it in the magazine, That was done by the previous owner from Texas. He has the connections and the ability to build some wicked mustangs. Tax refunds are around the corner so not much longer before she's done!

If ya need any info on the megasquirt let me know I'll try to help out.. I have a few VE tables somewhere when I find my laptop charger I can export them to you.. I'm on a 20* total timing at 11.3 psi but I'm bumping it down to 18* because they got rid of 94 octane here and dropped Ohio to 93 octane now..

Hey man that would be great!...

Got all the body panels put on tonight and started the car for a couple minutes to check for any leaks.....None at all suprisingly.

Still gotta shave some of the hood off in order to clear the turbo.
