popping lowering springs?

iv had a popping noise coming from my driver side front. i thought it was a ball joint but it isnt. would an aftermarket lowering spring pop? not all the time but when i put it in reverse or drive it pops

could be:
control arm bushing has rotted out allowing movement.
spring could be cracked.
ball joint could be failing.
steering shaft rag-joint could be rotted.
steering rack bushings could be rotted.
brake caliper could be loose.

spring may not have been placed in the a-arm's cup properly during install as well. perhaps the coil is piviting and bonking the a-arm when in motion.

yes the rubber isolator is on the spring and it is installed correctly. how could i figure out if something suspension wise is bad? how do check?

Replace your rack & pinion bushings with new ones. I went ahead and installed MM solid mount bushings. Also did new sway bar endlinks (1.5" shorter than stock) and my popping noise I had went away. Don't know which one of the two fixed the problem but I can tell you that the rack and pinion bushings were shot.
