What kind of prep work did you do on the engine and transmission before painting?

@weendoggy thats kind of a bummer, I was expecting some life out of this thing. And with manual steering, I am certain to tear this thing up.
Look at the bright side, maybe it won't happen on yours. I just like my cover to be tight as a bull frogs butt in fly season.

TC?? What happened to the third pedal? :D Well I'm not surprised many are going the auto route because no human can shift faster than a well tuned AT.

Man, the 3rd pedal is still there right now. It’s got a bad throw out bearing though. I’m going auto so my wife can drive it, and maybe to help keep the future turbo spooled up

Swapped the steering wheel today. It was definitely needed. Lucky enough, I didn’t have to modify anything, it went right on. I am going to put a black airbag in there, and I think I’m going to paint the gauge surround grey to match the passenger airbag and see if it flows in to the two tone doors a little better. Damn! A little duct tape would take care of that. Don't feel bad, mine was that bad when I bought it. Guess some people just don't care.

looking at the before/after you don't need to tell me that you now enjoy fondling that thing. Yes fondling is the correct term with as much as you are enjoying it :)
