Haha no not yet. I still need to get a clutch fork, pivot ball, and engine mounts.

You should beat the water pump nipple out of the block and install the new one to combat that pesky leak you had before.

It started getting dark out and the mosquito's were killing me so I torqued the timing cover and called it a night.

Here are some pictures that I thought lwarrior1016 and 96blak54 would Like to see. You can see how much the heads sit lower than the timing cover.

Luckily the bolt holes in the timing cover are much bigger than the bolts so there was no binding problem. The bolts are just off centered.

Thats not too bad. Nice to see a comparison so everyone knows what they will need to do after their heads get decked.

Finished putting the engine together today. Got a new heater nipple, clutch fork, and pivot ball.

A brand new gasket should cover that amount fine. Heck, stock gasket probably be ok. How well did it seal up

It looked like it had no problem filling that gap. Especially since that's the spot where you already have to put silicone.

Just an FYI this was not enough taken out. I ended up pulling the passenger header anyway. The engine is in the car as of last night.

Sn95 and headers......pisses me off thinking about it.

What headers are you trying to use?

I think it's easier to just pull everything out, than it is to put that longtube on in the car

I wish headers would fit for me. I envisioned headers while bolting the exhaust up today. I cant see how its possible. There is no room. Guess ill stick with shorties!
