that was BBK OR X and LM1s...it was insane loud. THen I got cats and it sounded like the the BAB cobra in the vid. Tuesday I will have the Powerflos.

I'll be honest and say I've never heard my setup on a 4v in person (just on other 2 valves) but I cannot tell ANY difference between a cobra with flowies and a gt with flowies and I've heard a ton. :dunno:

IMO LM1's are the ricer option, make a slow car as fast sounding as possible, all while adding exactly zero hp. It's like a defense mechanisim for slow car's "Crikey!!! It's the long lost NPI, once thought to be extinct, and vastly outgunned in todays modern world. Watch as he blat's his ferocious pipes at the competition. NPI only has 185 rwhp, but sounds like 400, can he scare away that Honda? Yes! Crikey lok at that Civic suddenly turn left! NPI has defended his turf again, proving that you don't actually need to be powerful to sound powerful"

And exhaust companies rape us just by selling these thigns and getting people to beleive there's power in them.

i bet you most of the people that dont like slp's here have not even heard them personally,if they do they wouldnt even know they are slp. i like slp's the reason i got rid of them cause i got i ticket cause the cop heard my car and were going at it :bunny3:

If like straight pipes, then save the money and just run straightpipes. Why spend 500 bucks for it?

A super loud exhaust note only impresses hillbilly's and high school kids. Money spent on actually going faster is better spent, IMO. To each his own, but anyone thinking LM1's aren't that loud, or don't sound like my 76 F250 with Purple hornies, is fooling himself or ill informed.

Then again, i've been to Corvette shows where people spent 70k on a 66 427 roadster and had no wiring or engine internals, but they won the show trophy, then pushed the car back into it's enclosed trailer. Whatever blows your cork, but be realistic about what your getting.

god.. im in a bashing over on SVTP as well.. gettin raped by people bashin, wa, why would u spend so much for SLP when they are straight through pipes, why would u want to sound empty like that, like an F body...

for one, im paying that money for a QUALITY product that is full SS and sounds good IMO.. my car does not sound like and F body, yes my mufflers are basically straight through.. so what?

magnaflow is stright through.. people dont bash them, yet they are as loud as LM1s... so funny how people love the nuts of certain brands..

I don't like Magnaflows either. I don't think anyone should be spending money on a catback until they have about 100 more hp. But don't say people who bash them haven't had them, I did, for year's. i'm not speaking from my ass, or what I read, or what my E-buddies said. I speak from what I know, first hand. So don't apply what is going on with some Ethug on another site to me.

A key difference between Magnaflows and LM1's is that Magnaflows actually have stuff in them. I never say anything about LM2's, or Borla Stinger's., they don't have that blatting sound under load that LM1's do.

And I don't bash the quality, if you read my other exhaust post's, i comment repeatedly that the SLP stuff is great quality, fit's like a glove. It's the sound of LM1's. People seem to think they couldn't possibly be that loud. They are.

It all depends on the setup... LM2s are straight through arent they?

My friend had lm2s on a stock h pipe and they sounded like flowmasters.

They were quiet.

Ive heard a lot of good sounding slp setups..mostly on 4 valves.

They are packed, just like Magnaflows and Borla's. LM1's are just resonator's.

LM2s do NOT sound anything like flowmasters.
and i do not get how LM2s make my car sound like an F-body.. but o well.. kid saying it is a clown
