so I'm torn. its either buy this 331 for my 95 GT or buy this built 97 with a 351w.. full exhaust, tubular k member, coil overs at every corner, 8 pt cage, aeromotive fuel system, Afr 220 heads, cam is over .600" lift [dont remember exact specs] TKO600, [a/c blows cold haha] cobra r wheels, etc etc etc etc, basically everything i want to buy for my car is in this car......... should i buy it? guy showed me 15k worth of receipts he's asking 5 grand.. should i be kicked in the right direction or what? :idiot2:

does he street race or does any kind or racing? yeah i thought so if you decide to buy it make sure ou take the car and get it check it is way to cheap to be true,IMO

I'd buy that 97, take the good shit off it, and put it on your 95, put the 97 back to something close to stock or maybe even sell it as a roller for 1500 or so.

There is something very fishy about that deal. I would avoid it. As someone said, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Who would do that much work on a car, buy that much in parts, and then give it away?

Something fishy. I would find out why he is selling it. You never know, he might be getting divorced and just wants to unload it, or it could be on it's last leg and he knows it and wants to get something while he can.

It sounds too good to be true, but remember that a modded car is only worth big money to the guy who put it together. When it comes down to selling, it usually loses 1/2 or more of the invested $$$.
Maybe that's the case here. Good luck either way.

if the car is in good shape i would buy it in a heartbeat. you could always part it out and sell it as a roller and make money off it if it ends up having a probem with it...

I have to agree, something doesn't sound right. Take it for a test drive and see if you could have a local shop check over the engine. Inspect the car thoroughly, make sure what he says is on the car is (I had someone try and sell me a TKO 600, turned out to be tremec 3550 :nonono. It's hard to believe someone would just give away there car, but I guess you never know. If everything checks out, obviously this is no brainer.

*drove the car* all i can say is holy hell!! car runs great, really crisp, doesnt dog track [i had someone follow me, well, try to keep up at least] owner produced receits for everything [it is a tko600] the car was a 97 v6 car... sellin it because he has a 11 second trailblazer ss, a 05 z06 and a few other expensive toys and the drag car doesnt get used much

buy the 97....351 engines are where its at :dancing6: if you need more you can stroke the 351 and be way better off then the 331 ...plus its caged...got a tube k ...and so on....plus the car was a 6-er so cheap-o-la insurance ....is it a carb set-up??
