TB QUESTION

well here it goes....i have to buy a new tb because mine is FBARed so i have a bbk 70mm on it now. was just wondering if i could go to a bbk 75mm cause there on sale through american muscle or is it to big???? :crybaby2:

Edelbrock RPM upper and lower

e303 cam
stock heads that are ported and polished
76mm maf
cold air intake
bbk 70mm
equal length headers
o/r h pipe

70mm is more than enough for ya. Ask if they can give you the same price on a 70mm.

there's no such thing as too big... jsut ask your girlfriend.. the problem is that once you get too big, you simply arent using it..

I personally suggest Accuufab over BBK because if the throttle body doesnt seal properly when closed it can cause problems. I also suggest seeing if Ford made a 70-75mm throttle body on a different car (such as an explorer) I would suggest that over an aftermarket one anyday.

is not too big, i would buy it.

i once saw an article somewhere, where they they show how big the TB is on the lincoln ls and it is bigger than our stock TB, 80mm IIRC, yes with the lil 3.9 liter engine.


So 75mm on your 5.0 shouldnt hurt a thing. me thinks.

so far so good amigo... jsut keep your eyes peeled for those sales and keep going... the 75 (i feel) is too big for your current set up, but thats not bad. but now you will be ready for anything else you start adding...

The 75mm would be a great tb for your application. There is the big controversary over how big is too big? well i can tell you that on my old car it was bone stock with the usual boltons, exhaust, cai, electric fans, and i added a 65mm tb.. it helped out, well it broke on me so when i went to buy a new one, i bought a 70 mm, now keep in mind nothing else changed, but with the 70mm i picked up almost 4 hp over the 65mm... just some food for thought... IMO the 75mm will be a great tb for your application and give you a little room to grow later down the road!!!
