And take my word for it the 3rd tail light is in there and will be working :)

I had to thin it out a bit to get it to fit the curve but I will be replacing the incandescent bulbs with an led strip anyway so it should still look good.

Car is at the shop now. Hopefully it will not hurt too much. I had a good talk with the owner afterwards and found out his kid suffers from chrones disease so he understood a little about my disability. He also has a really sweet supercharged GTO with 28K miles that he wants to put a nice stereo in :). Hopefully we can trade services...

Chrones sucks fer sure.... I am trying to finish the last little edge around the 3rd tail light tonight and it is done/primered and ready for paint then. Hopefully will have pics shortly. Stopped by the shop today and the 96 core support will work. They have it on the table and will be starting on it next week. I have lined up some help to pull the motor hopefully next weekend and start the smoothing/tucking...

the 96 should work if you have a welder and 10 minutes of work. lol. worst case scenario: You have to relocate the bottom brackets to function with a 97-04 radiator (not sure on a 94/95) and you need to make custom brackets for the top...... nothing major at all. lol.

Still have just the smallest spots here on the back that seem to want to keep laughing at me. From this angle you can see the bubble that is in the laser shifter lens emitter. Damn thing looks like a huge zit on my ass huh? ah well ya can't win them all

Here you can see the keyhole I relocated(pointing at it). If you look closely at the semi-shiny area near the top you will see a horizontal line that makes up the top of the tape that is covering the 3rd tail light. Its in there...

Dropped the bumper off to be stripped and could use your opinions on this. This will be behind a smoked lens so try to imagine it behind that but also with a good clear over the painted section and I have to ask, black or paint it to match the body? Please ignore the wiring as that will be tucked up out of the way.

So like I said neither of those are cleared but I don't think it will matter much behind the smoked lens. What do you guys think?

Yea I know what you mean. Looking at it now in the morning in daylight with the lens on it, it COMPLETELY changes the look/shape/color. With the smoked lense all those sharp lines are smoothed out and the tint is just enough that it all almost looks black. The car hopefully will be back from the body shop from the core support, and the bumper back from blasting and I can try them out. I think it will also help to paint the projector shroud the same color as the light bezel to help them both match and set off the carbon fiber. I am not going to be gluing the front on till I mount them on the car. Because of the 1-piece design can be a PIA to get to line up with the body lines and aimed correctly I am not going to mount the lens and seal them up till I get them on the car, mounted straight and then I will aim the projector to make sure it is pointing in the right place. I also mounted devil-eye leds in it that looked pretty wicked last night and I have been debating if I want to go with a carbon fiber hood as well as a cowl but I think that decision has been made...

When I do the test-fitting/hid aiming I will have one green and one red to make it easier to decide. Let the sun come up a little higher and I will polish the lens and post a pic with it on.

Awesome work man. I think the 3rd brake looks pretty sweet, smoothed out wing and trunk look awesome too. The headlights look good both ways, but I think if your going for more along the lines of custom stuff, body color would be the way to go. I can't wait to see what the headlights look like.

So yea the lens makes a huge difference, enough that suddenly black/green doesn't matter :)
Here you can see were the orange reflector was. I took it out and then had re-shape the end a little bit but happy with how it came out. Still need to sand/polish some problem areas on the lens but I think you can get the idea. Its cloudy/hazy out now if the sun comes out I will have to see how much you can see in the sun.

well fml. Had a good weekend as far as my stomach is concerned but that came to an end today. I swear it knows when I am looking forward to doing something and just LOVES to put an end to any plans I have made. Last week thurs I had a buddy coming over to help wire the 220v outlet I needed for the 60 gal compressor I picked up as well as for extra power for the welder. Had to cancel that day as I felt like crap, so we rescheduled for today. I got the majority of it all done yesterday running the wires, drilling and cutting the holes so my buddy would really just have a few connections at the end at the panel. Woke up today and just started puking and could not stop. I sent a message to my buddy saying I had to cancel but he didn't get it. He showed up and went to work, I hope it wasn't a big deal for him but I could not help as I was upstairs puking.... So after 6 hrs of that I finally decided it was time to go in. The only good news about the day(other then hopefully he finished up the wiring) was that for the first time EVER(10 yrs trying) my dr admitted me to the hospital with out needing me to go to his office first. I hate the ER, its my own personal hell honestly so the past couple times we called him and he said to come into his office first. Not sure why he wants me in his office in horrible abdominal pain an constant throwing up as its not a pretty image while sitting in the waiting room but until today that is how he wanted to do it. Today I was amazed that my dr actually took my word for it for the first time and admitted me with out seeing me. ITs a huge help as when I get sick like this, I get worse when I have to travel and of course we drive past the hospital, almost 2x as far to go to my dr's office and then back to the hospital. I honestly cried when I heard he would as it not only meant less pain but that he actually trusted me. Hopefully we can do that again.

So then of course karma isn't done with yet. If she doesn't get to LOL and point 3 times a day I think she feels like she has failed for the day. Got admitted. Got the medicine flowing and starting to feel better and go figure 10 mins later my phone rings and its the media blaster telling me the bumper is done and came out great. 20 mins after that the body shop calls to tell me that the core support is done and I can get it as well... $20 says the catch can and line locks I ordered last week show up today.

FML!!!!
