Don't know if anyone posted yet or if you ever found the link? But here ya go. http://scottrodfab.com/foxmustang.html

Thanks I have a full set that I just can't wait to start welding into place! 7am and a nice sunrise, what shall shave from the car today :p ? I have to say it has been a different kind of fun to work on the car with out any real limits put on me so far. With the wreck and the whole car getting painted its been fun not have to worry about the paint and just wondering what it would look like with/without and then doing it. I really can't wait to get the panel bonding adhesive in so I can start on molding the spoilers.

couple layers of puddy and some sanding.

A little more block sanding and it will be ready for paint.

I am going to flush-mount the laser-shifter in the center portion of the license plate but the more I think about the more I want to smooth it in so that it looks like it isn't even there.... I Might do it but it would require me to take apart the shifter to perminantly mount it to that frame.

That is it decision has been made I am going too smooth both the 3rd tail light in as well as the laser shifter for the radar detector so the entire back end will be one solid, very smooth piece....

For todays trick I am going to make a laser shifter disappear!

When I am done the only way you will be able to see that its there is that small bubble will now come out of the license plate frame.

Pretty sure this will void my warranty... still don't care. This is the laser receiver/shifter that will "shift"*cough jamn* the laser guns reading :)
16315859_large.jpg

What laser shifter?
16315860_large.jpg

At least once I float it in so it all looks like one piece other then the little bubble it will look like one piece now after I finish smoothing out the license plate frame and 3rd tail light.

Who doesn't love a little time bonding with their car?
16315952_large.jpg

figured I better spend some time on the keyhole relocation prior to bonding everything together. Was pretty surprised how well everything lined up.
16315957_large.jpg

Was actually a pretty easy mod honestly
16315954_large.jpg

You can see the old keyhole a few inches to the right.

Could not sleep tonight so why not more bonding time? Here the spoiler and the 3rd tail light bonding adhesive is drying and I put a layer of putty around the license plate frame that I set up earlier this morning to bond. Will add some putty under the spoiler tomorrow to leave that edge seemless and smooth.

slather - wait - sand/slather - wait - sand/repeat 12 dozen times and its getting close now. Need some glazing puddy in some small area and to clean up some other spots I get messy with. A little more work on smoothing in the light and I will be ready to start with the laser shifter lense. With the bubble in the lense I wanted to get the frame smoothed in nice and clean before I did but lens as the bubble would get in the way.

After this side is done then I can move to the top to smooth it in.

I had always wanted to do this since I go it and why I waited a year prior to getting it painted the first time(was hoping to do this and shoot the whole car). I have always been tempted to cut the front and re-shape it for a true duck-tail look that would rise out of the deck lid....

A little more work to do on the 3rd tail light to smooth it in but short of pulling the tape off of the laser shifters lens it is done.

This is before:
16315296_large.jpg

This is after: Like I said above I still need to take the tape off of the lens but that probably will not happen till its painted now. In the end the small bubble where the IR emitting leds are is the only place that should really be visable of the lens.
16321145_large.jpg

also started on the top but it has a little more to go before it is ready for pictures. I did get my new billet vacuum tree in. I know the stock one is on he drivers side but aren't most of the vac connections on the pass side? Curious where I will put this with the engine bay smoothing going on. Any help from people that have done it before would be great.

Started a To-do list of all the little crap need to get done to send the car for the core support. Charge the batteries, charge the air ride, get all the crap out from under it, get it off of the jackstands, bla bla bla... Its coming along.

And the top of the deck lid smoothing is coming along nicely only a couple small spots that need work now.

wow, coming along really good scott. I love some of your ideas. A lot of it is out of my league especially the electronics stuff, but very interesting!

with my background in electronics I am confident with all that jazz but the body work being done is honestly the first body work I have done. I have done some similar stuff with my custom audio projects in the past but nothing anywhere near this large or on the outside of the car before.

Need some opinions on final pain fella's. My original idea for the back end has had me wondering since the beginning just because I have seen maybe one other car try it and it didn't look right. I am going to keep the car the original color of DFG and add some candy-black accents. For the back end I have been planning to paint the entire from tail light to tail light candy black and I am just not sure it will look right. I think the reason I didn't like it on the other car was mainly the license plate frame and 3rd tail light seemed to make it look out of place for some reason and I think when I have it all smoothed out that it should look pretty cool. Its not like I am painting it completely black just a black candy on top of the dark green so I think it will look almost more like a shadow under the smoothed in s281. You guys think it will work?

I think it would look good. Do you have any pictures of it it from far back so we can see the lid with the tail lights. I did a black panel on my old stang.

no pics unfortunately. What I am talking about is the lights and everything inbetween them black. I think it will almost look like a shadow hanging under the smoothed in s281 and be a cool effect to where you are not sure if it is a shadow, or the paint. At least that is my idea. The candy black would be pretty light as I don't think I would need much to get the effect. I think with the lower valance painted the same way and having the same shape it would look pretty cool but just not sure. Maybe I should ask the photochop wizards to see if they could draw it up.....
