What exactly do these plates do? You just weld them onto your torque boxes and it stiffens it up a lot in the rear? I am also wondering if my torque boxes are wearing or breaking of whatever because I have a really loud noise coming from somewhere in the rear that only happens when the back end hits the ground from speed bumps and such. Also, when I get on it, I can feel and hear like a stretching noice coming from that vicinity in the rear. Help guys!

Most plates are all the same, some kits just come with better hardware or cleaner cut steel. My buddies and I all have the kits from Artie. I am not sure who makes them but they worked out great. Its all in the hands of the person installing them. It helps to put a few spot welds on some of the body seams underneath the car as well.

Yes I am lowered with eibach pro kit. What are pinion snubbers?

The pinion snubber is directly above the driveshaft pinion (at the rear axle) and is the little rubber bumpstop attached to the body by three 8mm bolts and a 13mm nut. Quality lowering kits like Maximum Motorsports come with a replacement one which takes into account that a lowered car will have less travel before hitting it.

My theory is yours was not replaced with your lowering kit, and the car is bottoming out on the stock one.
