That kit is a good bang for the buck. Comes with everything you need for a top end upgrade and at a cheaper price then buying each one of those parts seperatly. The only thing about that kit that people tend to want to upgrade is the camshaft, there is nothing wrong with it its just that more can be offered then what that cam will give you. But if you swapped cams you would have to be sure to check for Pistion to Valve clearance. That kit as is pretty much assures you that there are no clearance issues. Its put together like that for a reason.

as cheap as that intake is its probably cheaper then if you bought it all at once. I am running the heads/cam and love them with my ported cobra intake.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to take a look at the intake this week.

ttocs: are you saying that it would be cheaper to buy the kit or because the intake is so cheap or because of the price of the intake it would be less expensive to buy averything else than buying the whole kit?

Shit, it's early, now I don't think I'm making sense...

yea as he said that intake usually goes for closer to the $500 range. When you buy all the pieces together you save money but not that much on one piece. I got my heads seperate when they were on sale last year for a grand shipped, wait another 3 months and found some used roller rockers for a good price as well and then was lucky enough to get the cam on sale as well. I didn't spend the price of the top end kit, but it did take me a little while to get all the pieces for the price I wanted.

The guy emailed me and said he sold it!

Didn't even give me the courtesy of a call or email to let me know that someone else was interested. Then I would have made arrangements to get out there today to pick it up.

But I suppose there are a lot of guys out there that are flakes that say they want something and then back out at the last minute...

Just read the post and saw what a few guys on here suggested. That was a very good deal on that intake so I am not suprised it sold so quick. If you are still interested in the kit give me a call if you have any questions or concerns. We can change up those kits in ways that may better fit your combination.

Thanks,
Gregg

It happens and like he said it was a good deal. I had two different cobra intakes lined up recently so that I could polish them. Had agreed on a price and was just waiting on a quote for shipping when I got an email saying they sold them the day before.....

There is nothing wrong with that kit! I run the TFS1 cam with my setup and love the cam. But I pieced my kit together and went with AFR heads and a different intake since I got it off a friend for a great deal. Trick Flow makes great products you wont be disappointed!

I love my trick flow stage 1 cam. It has a good enough idle to not be a worry and yet enough of a lope to make people take notice, as well as good performance. Last week I had a neighbor that lives down the street drive by on his way to the store an stop to ask me what I have in my car. He said that it sounds mean enough that I could be going to the track on the way by his house. I thanked him and told him that I try to keep it quiet on the way in/out( I do I mean 20 mph max waaaay too many kids to drive fast here) and he smiled and said that he knew but still heard it.
