Holy Crap Tad. This thing is getting outta hand. You start runnin 7's and I'm gonna have to sick Urist after you instead of our blue car! haha. Seriously though, that thing's gonns be nasty.

Just FYI in case you didn't know, if you plan to turn it up past 8.50, you'll need to get a 25.5 cage cert. which, trust me, is a TOLTAL PITA. you will also have to get licensed to 7.50 or something like that.

Yep. I know about the cage. We are actually just s few bars away from a funny car cage . .. and it easier in a vert . . lol

As far as the license goes, the 9 second license is good down to 7.50. So, I won't have to worry about the next licensing step for about a year . . lol

Yeah . . I never thought of it either. But, I've never had a car with a moly from up front that would allow it. If you think about drag cars (funny cars, pro stock) they all run the headers out and away like that. So, I guess it makes sense.

Yep. The original dash and all the associated crap weighed about 170 pounds. I don't know what the windshield weighs, but its heavy. The Lexan will help a lot.

It will be done before the 12th. ;D

It's actually not costing as much as you might think. I'll probably spend less than 6 grand on the chassis/wiring/plumbing and about 20 on the motor.

For an 8 second drag car that could win me a bunch of money this year, that ain't bad.

I did the math on some of the NHRA Super Gas/Super Comp races . . . and with the contingency money . . . the car will get me over $6,000 for a first place finish . . . or about $2,000 for a runner up. If I can win 5 races next year, I'll be in the black on the car. ;D
